Hiking enthusiasts will find direct trail access from these primitive sites within Big Bend Ranch State Park's rugged Cienega Mountains terrain. The campground provides full hookups including electric, water, and sewer connections for RVs, along with showers and picnic tables at each site. Campfires are permitted, and pets can accompany campers throughout the area.
Located in the expansive state park system, the sites serve as a base for exploring the surrounding desert mountain landscape. Reservations help secure spots at this drive-in facility. For additional camping options in the region, consider campgrounds near Presidio or nearby Loma Paloma RV Park.

DAY USE FEE
$5 per day, per person 13 and older.
CHECK IN
All campers, Bunkhouse guests, and visitors to Big Bend Ranch State Park are required to check in at Fort Leaton State Historic Site or Barton Warnock Visitor Center. Visitor Center hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm; the park itself does not close.
If you are arriving after hours, please call Barton Warnock (432) 424-3327 or Fort Leaton (432) 229-3613 prior to arrival for instructions.
If you arrive after dark and are unfamiliar with the park road system or the location of your campsite, you may camp at the Botella Junction late arrival area and call a Visitor Center in the morning.
LIMITED SERVICES
There is no reliable cell signal in the park and you should not use GPS to navigate directly to your campsite. Orientation maps are available 24/7 outside of each Visitor Center. Always orient yourself before driving into the park.
No fuel is available in the park.
Showers, restrooms, and ice are available 24/7 at the Sauceda Ranger Station.

To reach Big Bend Ranch State Park from Alpine, TX: Take US 67 west to Marfa, then south to Presidio. Take FM 170 East 3 miles to reach Fort Leaton, or East 5 miles to the Casa Piedra Road. From the Casa Piedra Road follow signs 27 miles to the Sauceda Visitor Center. OR From Alpine, TX take FM 118 south to Study Butte. Take FM 170 west to the Barton Warnock Visitor Center.
