Managed by the US Army Corps of Engineers within Waurika Lake, Moneka Park sits on the opposite side of the earthen dam from the lake's other campgrounds, giving it a grassland-meadow character rather than direct waterfront access. Sites ring the outside edge of an open center, shaded by large mature trees, with each spot including a picnic table, grill, and prep table. No pets are allowed. Larger rigs should note that both the access road and individual sites are narrow, making entry difficult with longer vehicles. Drinking water, trash service, and toilets are on-site, and cell service is available. Campers interested in tent camping near Waurika Lake will find this a workable base, and nearby Beaver Creek Landing - Waurika Lake provides another option a short distance northeast. Sites run $10 to $14 per night, with a 14-day limit and a fee box at the entrance.
