Camping at a water park

Our three kids didn’t have a boring time at Jellystone Glen Ellis! They loved the Waterpark and the foam party! It was Christmas in July week, and they had so many events planned for the week. Included in your stay is Mini golf, shuffle board, the Waterpark, hayrides, movie night, magicians and more. They also have tubing in the Saco River, ice cream socials and a food truck. If you’re looking for a quiet rustic camping trip, this isn’t it. It’s a bit chaotic with all of the kids around.

No dogs allowed for tents!

I camp and tent all over North America with my dog. First campground I've ever been to where dogs aren't allowed. This even includes national parks where dogs aren't allowed throughout the parks (you know, except the campgrounds). Very very odd and disappointing.

Very Overpriced

I have two boys, 12 and 15, who have grown up going to this campground. I myself am 40 and have also been going to Glenn Ellis for 35 years, ever since I was a kid. The changes that Jellystone has made have ruined this campground. They have led to prices that are unheard of. $540 for three nights on a tent sight?!! Really?!! The staff are rude and unknowledgeable (when I asked the front desk person how much a night was she laughed and said well I don’t know, and didn’t look until I actually said the words “well can you look”). The campsites/campground is infested with tent/brown tail moth caterpillars. They were all through our tents and equipment. They even dropped in our food while eating at the picnic tables. Super gross.

New owners and updates, still same charm

Bought by yogi bear campgrounds a few years ago. They’ve updated a lot of thing including new water park, camp store, mini golf course, jumping pad and more. Things that haven’t changed are the great views and the river that runs along the site for lazy river tubing and relaxing. New cabins look nice. Only negative change is that dogs are no longer allowed in tent sites

Rivers -- peaceful -- fun

We've been coming here for years!  Located in the Mount Washington Valley, this campground is a gem.  It's nestled between the Saco and Ellis Rivers.  Clean water, great swimming, tubing and fishing.  Mountains and hiking are within easy reach and a day spent at the campground itself is never a wasted day!

Great place to stay

This was our first time to this place and we were very pleased with the friendly staff and sites. Great store and pavilion with wonderful plans of expanding and adding water slides. New mini golf course, new golf cart rentals and plenty of kids activities! We can not wait to go back.

The only down fall was the amount of acorns falling all around and on us. Not much they can do about that, this is the only thing that was at all concerning.

With the Saco and Ellis river on either side of the camp ground it makes for some great rivers edge camp sites. With plenty to explore.

Fantastic Family Campground Nestled in the White Mountains of New Hampshire

My family (my wife, two young sons and I) recently stayed here for a short getaway. As a side note, we had planned to stay here last year, but had to cancel. Having said that, I am more than happy with our choice to come to this jewel of a campground.

Located between the Ellis River and the Saco River, this campground offers so many fantastic amenities. One of the biggest ones that we took lots of advantage of is the swimming and tubing on the Saco River. Our campsite was located fairly close to the river and where you could put in to tube down river. One of the fun things about this is that at the far end of the campground is a place to take out. They have tubes to rent right there which was very handy. The campground also boasts a swimming pool, beach area along the Saco River, free mini golf, playground, golf cart rentals, a fully outfitted camp store and more. Typically when we camp in the White Mountains we like to get out and explore a lot; this is the first time we never left the campground.

The sites were nice and big, we reserved one that had water and electric as we have some new camping gear we wanted to try out. The campground itself was well maintained, plenty of restrooms and shower facilities spread throughout. The camp staff were very pleasant and knowledgeable. In fact after checking in, one of the camp staff came by because they had forgotten to remind us to take care of our food and gear at night as there are black bears in the area. I appreciated the extra care taken to pass along that information.

The campground switched over from a local family owned place to be under the Jellystone family. They have lots of activities to do during the day, especially for the kids. There are a lot of campgrounds in the area that bill themselves as family campgrounds, but really aren't. This is place truly is a great family campground.

As a side note, I want to also make a note about COVID-19 safety practices. There were lots of signs reminding campers to keep socially distant and recommended face masks. However, there were many folks who did not have masks on, including staff. New Hampshire doesn't have a mask mandate at the time of this review. I will say that our family felt safe and took our own precautions, but the campground has done a lot as well. This does not impact my overall review of the campground, I simply wanted to share this piece as it is relevant for those who may want to know.

SiteWe stayed at site S1.

Love this place

We love this campground! Great clean pool, arcade and playground for the kids, great store and laundry facilities. The staff is engaged and very helpful. There is a great mix of tents, pop-ups, trailers and RVs. Quiet and private sites with a lot of space to stretch out. All of this is great but what brings me back is the swimming hole in the Saco River. Crystal clear, ice cold and refreshing. Tube, swim or dip your feet it is a great way to spend the afternoon.

Between two rivers. Pool, baseball diamond, arcade, kids movies, playground. Plenty of shopping and restaurants in Conway. Storyland and Mt Washington super close!

Bears every night

We spent 5 days and wished it was longer. The campground was clean, staff was wonderful and the amenities were great! There were 2 active bears while we were there. They circled our camper at night. It was incredible to watch. Of course we never left any food out! It was the vacation of a lifetime for our grandchildren. This campground has a beautiful pool to cool off in, a nice playground and arcade for the kids. It’s located in the heart of everything. If you need something it’s a quick drive away. We will be going back for sure!
