There are four cabins varying in size and come with basic appliances and such. Just bring your own towels and washcloths. The campground is on the other side of the property from the resort. Primitive camping as well as hookups.
$105 - $165 / night
park features fishing in Whiskey Creek, (stocked with rainbow trout, crappies, and sunfish), picnic area, children's playground, semi-enclosed shelters, campground area with full hook-up and tent sites, two camping cabins, softball fields, frisbee golf, volleyball area and a children's zoo, which includes buffalo, whitetail deer, peacocks, and golden pheasants. Site had picnic table and fire ring.
We thoroughly enjoyed the frisbee golf and the zoo!
This was an overnight stopover our way west. The site was spacious compared to some state parks. There were plenty of trees and a bit of terrain changes that made them more appealing. The lake was large and inviting (except for current swimmer's itch breakout). The bathrooms and showers were clean and the park staff was pleasant.
All hookups needed are available, including sanitary, 30 and 50 amp, and water
We were scheduled for 5 nights, but extended to 8 because it was such a great spot. Don and his wife were very nice, and super helpful. We checked in late, and Don even helped us set up camp. Nice pool too. Showers and bathrooms are very clean. Laundry is nice. Highly recommend if you can snag a spot.
Friendly family owned, will definitely be back!
This campground is incredibly peaceful. Even with kids and most spots full, it’s just quiet. Lake is beautiful. Things are clean.
Many bike and walking/hiking trails. Well maintained park. Many Campsites are level and we just backed in and set up.
Men’s bathroom is cleaned twice a day! Showers are clean and water is hot!
Drinking water is good.
Great trails to hike. Super nice Visitors Center with great interactive displays to learn about the park.
View from the fire tower is spectacular! Beautiful wild flowers blooming along the trails. Took many pictures of loons on Mary’s lake.
There are a lot of sites and some are relatively close together. A number of them require quite a bit of leveling if you're coming with a camper. The lake is beautiful you can actually walk on the trail down to a relatively nice restaurant for dinner. Well the park was full when we were there it didn't feel packed it was very pretty.
Very nice RV resort with clean campground, clean bathrooms & showers. Full hookups, good resort wifi and good Verizon.
Lots to do here, very fun, very friendly staff. If you are looking for a good vacation, come here you won’t be disappointed!
I stay at Cabin, it's is nice. Got heater, electric , ac, fans, light, water pump nearby, outback toilet near too, ranger is friendly and helpful, have picnic table, fire pit , bugs not too badly. I'll come back to that cabin
Ashley here with The Dyrt! A classic Northern Minnesota Resort, in the Bemidji area, with activities and fishing to build a vacation full of memories!
Basically have a 24/7 help number, always ready to answer questions, the cutest little gift shop,,,ice cream!! it was perfect and we only stayed a night!!
Gravel sites with some slope. Good bathrooms and showers.
One of the best campgrounds I’ve ever been to. The only negative for us was the fact that we had to go to a laundromat in town.
Most of this camp is reserved for seasonal campers but they have 2 extra sites. One Full hook up and one electric site. The full hook up site is a little tight if you bring a big RV, backing up is a skill you must bring.
When I was here, we were very close to Crooked lake which is a beautiful with a great fishery. I mainly came here for fishing and it was great.
They do have cabins that overlook Crooked lake and all I have to say is that it’s beautiful. They do have there own boat launch if you bring any type of water vessel. It cost $5 per day to dock it on their docks. They treat there RV sites and cabins which is a plus because we don’t have many mosquitoes during the day and night.
I would highly recommend this site for fishing and those who just want to get out. Booking was very easy and straight forward!
Full hook up: $50 a day Electric only: $40 a day.
$100 security deposit once booked which goes into your bill.
I love this park! We try to go at least once a year. Great facilities at the campgrounds- bear paw is probably best, it’s right on the lake and more spread out, but pine ridge is fine too. The park has awesome hiking, lots of things to do, and great rentals for fun on the lake. Do not miss!
Looking for a nice place to call home, this is a great little KOA ride along the highway with easy access for both small and large rigs. It's location to Lake Itasca, and the headwaters of the Mississippi, not to mention Paul Bunyan, and blue – – make this a great stop over destination.
Definitely stay if you get a chance. Hundreds of places to stay and we'll wort a visit.
Ashley with The Dyrt. We want to welcome Don & Cheryl, your hosts, to our platform! This cabin is SO cute and it's clear they take great pride in their property. Remote worker? No problem! There is high speed internet on premise. This is the perfect place for couple, families, and solo travelers that want to spoil themselves. Check them out and leave them some love!
We love Minnesota, almost more than we love Wisconsin - only because the natural beauty and the numerous, non-ending lakes to explore. Instead of “ruffing it” we decided to treat ourselves with a cabin rental and don’t regret the splurge. Adorable cabins, with nice layout, on Pine Mountain Lake, which is one of many is of Minnesota's hidden treasured lakes. I don’t fish but it was fun watching others. This stay was quiet, relaxing and we left feeling rejuvenated. Excellent amenities and folks. Ya know, MN nice is a thing!
Quiet night on the most secluded spot.
Well maintained, clean modern bathrooms. Several good hiking trails. Nice swimming beach. Sites are a little close together.
We give this resort 5 stars because, despite it not being visitor friendly, they are up front in their policies about visitors and the place is great in all other respects. If you want to have visitors while staying here it is best to consider these policy before visiting as they are strictly enforced. We won’t stay here again because of those policies despite how great the amenities are.
OK, for the good stuff. Sites are huge, very dog friendly, quiet, ice and firewood on site, cute little lake with gorgeous sunsets, huge kiddy play area on water, free kayak and paddle board use, nice little onsite store. Be aware much of the place is seasonal rentals but these sites are kept very tidy. Whole place is immaculate. Also have 3 docs and a small boat landing.
Lots of biking and hiking trails. Really nice bathrooms. Nice beach with water trampolines. Sites are big.
So much fun.
Beautiful State Park. Cleanest bathrooms! And bathroom is a log cabin which is cool. Haven’t explored yet but there are lots of trails. We are in Bear Paw campground spot 2. Very spacious and private, not looking at lake, but like the woods around us.
Beautiful place. Non expensive. Not many tent sites but we had one down the hill and it was perfect. Very peaceful and owners are respectful and kind.
