Fishing enthusiasts will find direct access to Bass Lake at this small US Forest Service campground in Hiawatha National Forest. The five sites accommodate RVs up to 16 feet and provide fire rings with cooking grates. Sites 1, 2, and 3 offer decent spacing, while sites 4 and 5 connect for larger groups.
Each site sits along the lakeshore with level ground for tents and ample trees for hammock setup. The lake bottom is muddy and not suitable for swimming, though fishing remains popular. Basic facilities include vault toilets, but campers must bring their own water and toilet paper. At $8 per night, reservations are available through the National Forest system. Little Bass Lake Campsites — Hiawatha National Forest provides another lakeside option just half a mile south.
