    Round Lake State Park Campground

Beautiful lake, pleasant surroundings, road noise

I recently spent a few days at this campground, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The highlight of the trip was definitely the beautiful lake, which provided a serene backdrop for the entire stay. The surroundings are peaceful abd there is a lovely trail around the lake and an extensive set of trails heading up into the mountain behind the lake as well as a trail to a pond with a dam which is quite peaceful.

The swimming area is nice with kind of sandy beach, but there is a bit of seaweed in the swimming area. There are also two docks perfect for fishing. I had a great time casting off from them and even caught a couple of crappies and trout which was a nice bonus. However, one downside was some road noise, which occasionally disrupted the peaceful atmosphere, especially in the evenings. It wasn’t overwhelming, but it was noticeable enough to mention. Additionally, the campground and swim area can get very busy during peak summer weekends. If you're looking for a quieter experience, it might be best to visit during the off-season or on weekdays. All in all, the campground is a solid choice for anyone looking to enjoy nature, fish, or swim in a beautiful lake. Just be prepared for a little road noise and crowds if you visit during popular times.

    Ravenwood RV Resort

    Best Rv park near Silverwood

This place is an absolute gem! All sites now have full hook-ups with water, power and sewer and every site has both 30/50amp. No showers but who needs that when you have full hook-ups. They have a beautiful pool, basketball court, volleyball area and small playground. They even have a shuttle to Silverwood! One the most beautifully kept RV parks we've ever stayed in with spacious sites with grassy area and picnic table at each site. Highly recommend 👌

Bowl and Pitcher Campground — Riverside State Park

    Not much to do...

Well, it was a beautiful area , with great scenery but if you have kids under 10 yrs old there is absolutely nothing for them to do. I mean NOTHING. We won't go back. We never saw a single staff member or volunteer in 3 days.

    Camp Coeur d'Alene

Great little private campground in the Wolf Lodge Bay.

This is a great little private campground in the Wolf Lodge Bay, and their added free amenities made this campground a really fun alternative to the usual state park/national forest campsites I go to more often. The swimming pool was well kept, and we really enjoyed using the free canoes. They had a lot of decent looking free firewood, but we were camping during a fire ban and weren't able to use it. (This, of course, is no fault of the campground. But if we camp there again it will be nice to have free firewood!)

We originally booked tent site 3, which I cannot recommend as it had no shade or privacy, but the attendant was very kind and let us switch to a shadier site for free. I think this was tent site 4 or 5, which were much better. Tent site seven looked really nice as well and I would recommend that one. But if we go back we will definitely be booking the island tent site 201, it looked to be the best one of all.

Bowl and Pitcher Campground — Riverside State Park

Wonderful Spokane campsite in a gorgeous state park!

I love camping at Bowl and Pitcher at least once a year. It's a well kept campground in a gorgeous state park with great hiking and walking trails! I strongly suggest campsite 24 for tent campers, it is the one I always get when I camp here. It is large, nicely shaded, and more private than a lot of the other campsites at the campground.

    WARNING. DO NOT MAKE RESERVATIONS

I tried to cancel a reservation. Last week, no one answered the phone. They didn't respond to email. And as of today, their phone is disconnected. Another source stated they were in bankruptcy (unconfirmed).

    Mirror Lake: Bigfoot Campout

Just amazing! Hidden gem of the Idaho Panhandle

Just. Book. You won't regret it.  The campground is just far enough away to feel secluded but not too far that it's hard to get to.  The views of Mirror Lake are just phenomenal.  Clean campground with all the amenities.  The dock is fantastic and the fishing is top notch.  Electric hookups if you are a "glamper".  Campsite A is the best but all sites are great.

    Liberty Lake Regional Park

    Nice quiet hidden campground

This is our 3rd visit to Liberty Lake Regional Park. It’s a small campground on Liberty Lake just east of Spokane WA. It’s a little hard to get to, and not suitable for large Class A motorhomes!

There are 16 regular RV sites with water & electric, and they have added 3 sites on top of the hill with full hookups. Also 12 tent sites. Close to Spokane. Hiking and horse trails.

    Camp Coeur d'Alene

Very small spaces with a sardine like feeling

Very nice front desk staff unfortunately the person who designed the campground tried to squeeze every possible inch into a site. Your neighbors look directly into your RV. It would be a great spot if they had about 1/3 rd less sites. Pricey for such small sites. We got a 50x20 site and we had to tip the picnic table on its side to fit in. Our rig fully expanded easily fits into a site much smaller than this.

    Nice Little Campground

Great little campground on a meadow behind Liberty Lake. Bathrooms, showers, and a sink for dishes available. Sites aren't super private, but have adequate space. Felt very safe for solo camping. Great halfway between Rainier and Glacier.

    Crystal Gold Mine

Easy access, neat mine, full hook ups

We did the mine tour two years ago and we’re happy to do it again. We noted back then we should return and try the rv sites one day & we did! The kids did some gem panning and found some gold specks. A neat insight into the mining that was so prevalent in these parts. Full hookups all worked great. Huge huge site with a brand brew picnic table and nice fire ring. Nice & small campground overall

Terrible. The camp hosts harrassed us the whole time we were there.

The camp hosts harrassed us the whole time we were there. We were going to stay a week but left after three days. I asked what the problem was and he said my kind didn't belong here. Referring to my skin color I think. I asked for a refund for the two days I paid for but wasn't going to use and he started yelling and acting crazy. Couldn't get out of there fast enough. Followed us a half mile away from the campground.

Chatcolet Campground — Heyburn State Park

    Perfect access to bike trail

We picked this campground for its access to the Trail of the Coeur D’Alenes. The campground is small and peaceful, at least mid week. Lovely views of the lake through the trees. The toilets are flush, but look like outhouses from the outside. A pleasant surprise when you get in.

    Camp Coeur d'Alene

    Awesome place!

We stayed for a night with our cab over camper. Site 204 was great cause it was secluded and out of view from every other camp site and up a little hill with a “cliff” and full hook ups. They offer free firewood and anything on site is complimentary, first come first service and such as far as boats and other fun toys. Next time we’re through, we’ll definitely be staying here.

    Camp Coeur d'Alene

    10/10

This was my second time camping here. Was happy to return with my family this time. Well ran, but busy place. Free firewood is much appreciated. Dog friendly. Was great to catch up laundry (located directly across from the pool) while the kids swam. All facilities are clean. Free access to peddle boats & canoes to take out on the lake as well as life vest.

    Nice access to lake

It’s a short walk down to the lake. The camp grounds is okay. It seemed as though the spot I was in was rather big but not spaced apart from surrounding camp sites. Overall good experience

IT'S JUST OK A PLACE TO PARK

We stayed here for 2 months, nice quite place close to Bayview ID, and next to the Post Office. The down side NO WIFI! You have to go into Bayview for WIFI or subscribe to the parks landline service(Spectrum). Bayview has a few nice restaurants.

    South Skookum Lake Campground

    SKOOKUM HEAVEN

We stayed outside number for which is close to the entrance. The beauty of being so close to it there is cell service so if you need to get in contact with anyone, it’s about a two minute walk.

This is a small campground with about a mile and a half. Luke goes around the lake, which is a easy hike. I was able to carry my newborn on a pack and didn’t die. Lol.

The lake is very small and his non-motorized vessels only.

This is a little hidden gem, my wife and I go to every year. I think more people should enjoy it as well.

    Round Lake State Park Campground

    1st solo RV camping trip

Beautiful & clean campground with friendly staff. Quiet area and not over crowded. Pet friendly. Lots of trail hiking and a pretty lake for kayaking, swimming, etc. My only complaint was not enough grassy areas and all campgrounds were just dirt. So keeping RV clean was difficult with myself and dogs going in and out despite having mats to wipe off feet/shoes.

    Round Lake State Park Campground

    Awesome campgrounds

There were a lot of people there. Even on some of the rougher hiking trails there were always people around, so if your looking for seclusion, round lake might not be for you. The fishing was amazing though, and the view is beautiful. There are lots of hiking trails nearby, and there are some cool features, like beavers dams and little ponds filled with fish. The bugs weren’t bad either, there were almost no mosquitoes or spiders.
