Amazing site

This site was perfect. The area around is forested and gorgeous. Felt like a magical little spot. Sites were close but felt secluded because of dense forest. It was not busy at all and we got our choice of sites even late in the evening. Paying for site was super easy and it was a very reasonable price! No showers, but bathrooms were heated and very clean with warm water. Would stay here every time I was in the area!

So over priced

We were not able to stay at Gilmore because it was closed for the season so we stayed across the street at the Peterson campground. The sites were nice but basic. Sites had running water, fire pit, and picnic table. The sites were also very close together. The showers were closed for the season and the bathrooms were not well maintained. They had no toilet paper, lots of bugs, and the lights were out. We got there late and had to pay in the morning. Had we known the cost, we would not have stayed. With the site fee and a required day pass recreation free to the park, it cost $74 for one night. That is insanely overpriced. If amenities are going to be closed and not well maintained during the slow season, they need to lower the price. Would not stay again.

Nice place for a night

We couldn’t find a campsite in Yellowstone so had to exit the park late at night. The camp host was kind and understanding and was able to get us a last minute spot to stay. Showers are hot and good pressure. Bathrooms could use a little TLC but mostly clean. Spots are basic and there are security lights that are bright and stay on all night. Overall just what we needed and a good place to stay the night
