Good quick overnight stop

Staff very friendly and easy going. Gravel sites with 50/30/20 electric and water & sewer hookups
Noise is mostly blocked out by ac unit running.

Nice, small campground!

The campground only has a little over 20 sites, keeping the whole place nice and on an intimate scale, especially if you are able to snag one of the lake-side campsites, which have nice lake breeze and beautiful views. The park is an important sacred site (I suggest visiting the mounds at sunrise),…

Basic, decent for overnight

This is a review of Sugar Mill RV Park in Ochlocknee, GA which is in south Georgia off US Hwy 19 near the Florida state line. Other reviews seem to be for a north Georgia park which is not this one.

There is no tent camping at this park.

Overnight stay in a 38' class A. Selected site 26,…

Easy to get to from I-75

Safe campground with RV spaces that well spaced apart. Very quiet spot with level pull-through sites that have power, water, and sewer. There are also cabins available to rent but they do look a little questionable.  The bathhouse was very clean which was nice. Only would recommend this spot for…

Quiet and comfortable

We stopped for the night on our way south and enjoyed a quiet little stay.  Good 50Amp, Water and Sewage with easy pull throughs.  The WIFI was actually amazing and we were able to stream our Fire Stick HD.

  • Site #38 with 50Amp service.

Reed Bingham review

What is so beautiful about this park? It was clean and tidy, even on the walking trail which were able to be traversed by all ages. Maybe the view of this huge lake, groomed beach area, and lovely oaks made this first visit a memorable one. Most spaces were under shade except for a few near the…

Peaceful

This is our first stay at a KOA and we couldn't have asked for a nicer campground. We were only going to stay a couple of days and decided to extend our stay by a week. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The tent sites we're spacious and close to the bath house and it was clean and we'll…

One night stop only

It gets 2 stars because the staff was nice but the park looks run down. Every site needed mowing (no rain so no excuse) and the site next to us was blocked off because of a water leak for quite some time, algae growing on the water. Trees need to be trimmed. It is easy on easy off of 75. ‘45 MH

Great little campground with plenty of things to do and hear

I camped at this park as a child and will always remember hearing the animals from the zoo in the middle of the night.  The lions roaring and the monkeys howling isn't something that many campgrounds can offer.  There is plenty to do at the park including fishing, boating, bmx and mountain biking,…

Nice quiet and not far off I-75

Quiet state park with full hookups, power & water and grassy tent sites. Gopher turtle reserve with great hiking trails. 2 shower houses, mini golf and canoe rentals on lake. Fishing with state license. Walmart, McDonalds, Burger king and sit-down resturants in town (about 7 miles).

  • Prehistoric animals live here. State turtle is the Gopher Turtle and this park is a protected area for them.

Very small but nice lake side campground

We enjoyed this off the beaten path state park. Nice , quiet area with the mounds and trails to explore. Super friendly rangers and welcome center staff.

Enjoyable stay

We arrived on Easter Sunday and stayed in our 5th wheel on site #1 for three nights. It was easy to get in but make sure you take the right to the check in area. We tried the little hut and had to swing around to get into registration.

Our site had water and electric and we were very close to…

Peaceful, friendly, wonderful

Have waited six months into our RV life to start reviews for fair comparisons. Spent 8 nights. This was one of the most unexpected pleasant surprise campgrounds we have stayed at. Great hiking (gorgeous boardwalks) and biking within the park as well as lake access. The most friendly camp hosts…

Cheap, not fancy, lots of fun!

This place was great. It’s not fancy, and could use some updating, but we really enjoyed ourselves. They had lots to offer: bike trails, a huge wooden playground, a splash park, disk golf, a bmx bike track, an rc car track, a small zoo/animal conservatory, and some sort of nature center or…

We had to stay in the area for a few nights and didn’t know what to expect, but when we rolled into the RV park we were so pleasantly surprised. It’s wel maintained, big, and even has a lovely duck pond on the property.

The sites are evenly spaced, gravel, and level. All pull through a with full…
