Description
Scattered across a knoll of high-desert San Luis Valley terrain, this BLM dispersed area sits among dramatic boulder formations just a few miles northeast of Del Norte — an arid, wide-open landscape that feels more like New Mexico than Colorado. Several level sites with fire rings are tucked in and around the rocks, with a short loop road connecting them and long views in every direction. Access via BLM 5227 (Round Rocks Road) is generally smooth and straightforward, though the loop's inner fork has one rocky ledge drop-off to navigate with care in larger rigs. Wind can be a factor, especially overnight.
