The coordinates on Dyrt are a little off from the actual location but if you drive down roads that lead to toward views of the canyon, you’ll get there. The road passes through lots of private property, which can trick you into thinking you’re driving down the wrong road. The trailhead parking lot has one giant rut that you must be careful to navigate around. 2 Wheel Dr. and low clearance vehicles can do it, but should be extremely careful in how they approach. Parking lot is a short walk to some beautiful views of the canyon! Please be respectful as many people live within eyesight of the trailhead

Beautiful, but really need a compact 4x4 to get into and out of parking lot and there are tent sites only. We almost didn’t make it out with our 24 ft van (checked it out but didn’t stay overnight). Very crowded on a Saturday at 4:30pm.

We camped a very short walk from the parking lot. Amazing camp site with not many people around.

Was desperate to find "something" after driving 11 hours that day, and normal paid camp grounds were full. HOWEVER I was pulling a smaller trailer, and that turned out to be a real issue. The hill getting to the site should not be a problem for any 2wd car/truck, but with the extra weight of the trailer it was definitely sketchy getting there, then once we got to the "parking lot" there was no place to turn around a trailer. I ended up backing up at least 1/8 of a mile to find a safe space to turn around.... so don't try to bring a trailer here, not even a teardrop camper.

We found a level place to park for the night at this location, and pulled out 1st thing in the morning.

Not trying to say there is anything wrong with the spot, but stay away with campers/trailers, and use it for tents only.

Loved the camp area, so close to climbing. Also loved the people in the area! We met so many amazing and kind people! It is gorgeous, and the road is really good up to the parking lot. Our ford focus hatchback managed just fine. That being said, there is a lady who regularly loses control of her off leash dog and makes no attempt to catch him. I would suggest being cautious with your pets around here.

There is a car park just south of the location marker on the dyrt, there are some campsites very close to this, one of which we used. They are still fairly private but the best are likely deeper down into the canyon. We were able to access this in a Toyota Corolla although there was a fairly deep "ditch" to cross when entering the car park.

This camping spot is about a 30 minute drive from Central Boulder. I’m seeing a lot of reviews about the spot saying its not an actual campsite, but I had no trouble finding the campsites. I parked in the Dream canyon parking lot and followed the trail by the large sign near the entrance. While this spot is by some residential land, if you go down the trail enough it’s not a problem. 

Drove more than 35 - 45 mins from boulder expecting a decent dispersed camping area like normal, but don’t let this fool you!! It is all residential and private land! I honestly don’t know of any dispersed camping near the city of boulder and so far this app is deceiving. Read the reviews before you head out!

The campsites were not accessible by car. Nice area though, nice and private. We had to turn around to find somewhere else, since we’re traveling with a van.

During our three-day stay, we were blown away by the serene and safe surroundings. It was like being in a dream, immersed in tranquility and peace.

Must pack in to camp sites from parking area. Good trails and lots of hiking. Great views.

Drove to this site late at night needing a place to sleep in our car, and it was almost perfect. As we were driving up the mountain, the conditions changed rapidly and we were hit with a snow storm. If camping here, be sure to check the conditions in the mountains. Beautiful spot though! Very private.

Safe for car camping. Make sure you follow the stay on road signs.

It was a little hard to find however, once we found it we didn’t want to leave. Plenty of dispersed camping, hiking and climbing.

Only knocking this site a star for busyness and difficulty parking. However, proximity to Boulder is a huge plus if you are looking for a quick and easy get away. Be warned that though it is relatively close to town, weekends and probably in the peak of summer season, parking may be completely full. This is also a huge spot for recreation like climbing and fishing, so almost everyone we saw were there just for the afternoon and we had the dispersed camping areas almost all to ourself. There are plenty of flat spots to set up, close to the parking area of a bit of a trek through the woods. Views of the canyon are spectacular.

Site is beautiful

Like the last user the directions took me to a very small roadside pull off. There were plenty of pull offs on this and other roads surrounding that were bigger but on quite a slant. Checkout magnolia rd. Really neat pull up a way up that over looks the city, is flat and plenty of room for several vehicles even a larger RV/Van/Camper.

Not sure if the directions led me to the wrong spot but plugging this into any nav app just led me to a very narrow pull off on the side of the road, too close to passing cars for me to really consider. Soo just beware if you’re counting on it after a long drive.

No true “sites”. Good spot to spend the night if you’re traveling through. Good views and lots of hiking spots.

This si the place my friends and I go to just for a night away from everything. It is just out of reach of the city and far enough away where we can find some peace and quiet. The views are incredible!

Lots of climbing routes nearby and easy to find some good spots away from others.
