Shine Eye Gravel Bar — Buffalo National River

Gravel bar camping along the Buffalo National River requires no reservations or designated sites. Campers park in the lot and walk down to claim spots directly on the riverbank. The National Park Service maintains basic toilet facilities year-round, and pets accompany their owners to this primitive setting.

Without marked campsites, visitors spread out across the gravel bar according to preference and group size. The Buffalo River flows past campsites, providing water access for fishing, swimming, or paddling activities. Grinder's Ferry Gravel Bar — Buffalo National River sits less than a mile upstream for those comparing gravel bar options along this stretch of river.

Amazing spot.

This is just a gravel bar along The Buffalo National River but it is beautiful! There are no designated campsites, just park in the parking lot, walk down to the river and find a spot.
