Camp ground better than trail

Went on a hike of the short Panther Bay trail today.  Very disappointed to have two felled trees across the trail.  My wife and I are in our 80's and it was very difficult to navigate around both trees into the dense forest on either sides.  To top it all off, I'm one who does pay an annual $40 fee to the ACofE just so I don't have to suffer fallen trees. Yes, the tree looked down from last fall.  This trail is for our age group and folks over 65, and of course children. NOT right now though.

Confusing

There is a Panther Recreation Area which is just a boat landing and then you have a Panther Bay Campground in the basic same area. The Panther Bay Campground is of course COE and do us the Panther boat launch. The campground is small with only 18 sites. Reservations. There is a beach potable water dump station flush toilets showers play ground. This is a nice private camp. Warning is the season is very rainy the lake does flood and some sites will flood. Pay attention to signs. Panther Bay or Panther. Normally the rain comes in April but it came in May

Panther Bay for Days

I have camped at either Panther Bay or Robinson Point on Norfolk Lake every year for as long as I can remember. Depending on the amount of water in the lake we would switch between the two camp grounds. Panther Bay was a little nicer if you wanted to have quick access to a marina. It offers plenty of easily accessible campsites for tent campers as well as individuals in an RV. One thing that can be a little aggravating for some is that there aren't any campsites that are right on the lake, from most sites you have about a 5 min walk down to the water, but it's still a camp ground I love.
