Description
This dispersed corridor in the Coconino National Forest spreads along a spur off Beaverhead Flats Road at around 4,000 feet, set against the open red-rock terrain of the Verde Valley corridor. The access track has notable ruts at the first fork — manageable for shorter, maneuverable rigs but a genuine challenge for low-clearance trailers — with the road smoothing out past that initial rough stretch. Sites along the spur see steady use and some highway noise, but the setting is convenient to the Red Rock area and the visitor center nearby handles trash and recycling.
