## Overview

Boardman Group Campground is located about 8 miles east of the Verlot Public Service Center along scenic Mountain Loop Scenic Byway through Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. The campground is located on the banks of the tranquil Stillaguamish River, in close proximity to several wilderness areas.

## Recreation

In addition to being a prime location for hiking, fishing, picnicking and horseback riding in summer and early fall, visitors can take advantage of skiing and snowshoeing in the winter months.   
  
Anglers enjoy fishing from the gently-flowing Stillaguamish River, which sustains populations chinook, coho, chum, pink and sockeye salmon, steelhead trout, sea-run cutthroat and bull trout.

## Facilities

The campground offers just one site, making it a perfect setting for groups of up to 35 people. RVs are welcome. A small amount of traffic noise from the adjacent highway can be heard, but the river helps mask it.   
  
The site is equipped with tables and campfire rings with grills. Vault toilets are available, but there is no drinking water. Visitors must bring their own supply.

## Natural Features

The Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest offers visitors the chance to explore the region's rugged peaks, scenic rivers, and interesting wildlife within the forest and surrounding designated wilderness areas.   
  
Visitors will find unique ecosystems along the banks of the Stillaguamish River. Old-growth forests of cedar, fir and hemlock line the wide, gently-flowing river and tower over trails winding through moss-covered rocks.   
  
On a clear day visitors will see Mt. Baker, the most prominent feature of the Mt. Baker Wilderness Area. Rising to an elevation of 10,781 feet, the active volcano is perpetually snow-capped and mantled with an extensive network of creeping glaciers. Mt. Baker's summit, Grant Peak, is a 1,300-foot-deep mound of ice, which hides a massive volcanic crater.   
  
Undeveloped wilderness, clean streams and diverse forests provide important habitat for wildlife, including birds, amphibians, reptiles and more rare species such as lynx, moose, wolves, and wolverine. Grizzly bear sightings have been confirmed in the Cascade region, though black bears are more common.

The best thing about this camping spot are the sounds of nature as you relax on the patio or fall asleep in your tent.  There are owls, bullfrogs, and cicadas, and sounds of running water!

Adjacent to the camping site just 30 steps away is a pond with ducks, geese, bass, frogs, cattails, lily pads, and lots of ducklings and goslings in the spring time.  It is a vibrant wetland with all of the pond life in a beautiful forest setting filled with mossy green colors.

Behind the campsite is a babbling seasonal creek, which swells up to a torrent after the rains, and slows down to a trickle during the summer time.

We are in the process of building a trail network on the back 40 acres, including a trail to a hidden waterfall.

You can play frisbee golf on the back 40 acres (you should bring your own game supplies). 

We have a 2nd Tentrr Signature Site nearby -- Fern Gully, Site #1 -- so if a family or friends want to rent both tents you can do so if both calendars are open.

We also have a wedding venue on the property and take bookings for weddings, family reunions, or special events.

This is an exclusive Tentrr Signature campsite. Tentrr partners with land owners to offer unique accommodations in beautiful outdoor spaces. Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature! 

Your Tentrr campsite includes a 10'x12' (120 square feet) safari-style canvas tent on a raised wooden platform. Inside the tent you'll find one queen bed with a memory foam mattress. The tent is big enough for the bed plus one or two extra sleeping bags on the floor. Aside from the canvas tent, campers can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that___s provided. You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, and 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs.

Max Occupancy: This refers to the total number of campers allowed onsite with your reservation. 

Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. To use, line the bucket with a CleanWaste Sani-Bag supplied at the camp prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. CleanWaste Sani-Bags use a NASA-developed gelling/deodorizing agent that helps prevent spills and keeps everyone safe and clean.

Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.

Interaction with Guests:
Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While Tentrr does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location.

If a Tentrr Host submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the host's property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set!

Reservation Modifications/Cancellations: Please note the terms of the cancelation policy as they are outlined in your confirmation email. Your Tentrr Host is unable to change or cancel your reservation on your behalf, and they are unable to waive any cancellation fees (if applicable). WTA Pro Tip: This is a popular area for camping. On a sunny weekend, start early to allow plenty of time to find a site. Note that Gothic Basin is an extremely fragile area, so be sure that you're camping on an established site or sturdy surface, like rock or dirt, and avoid camping in meadows or grasses, as this can damage the landscape. You’ll also want a bear can, as there are no trees in Gothic Basin suitable for a bear line.

## Overview

The Heybrook Lookout sits atop its namesake ridge at 1,700 feet. The lookout itself rises 67 feet above the ridgeline and provides spectacular views of breathtaking glacial peaks surrounding the valley. The first Heybrook fire lookout was a simple tent platform built in 1925. The Forest Service replaced it seven years later with a 45-foot log leg tower, with a ground-level cabin intended as sleeping quarters for fire rangers; however, rampant rodents eventually drove the rangers up into the tower where they lived until a 67-foot lookout was built in 1964. Heybrook Lookout is one of only 106 lookouts left in Washington State.

## Recreation

Hiking, birding and wildlife viewing are popular activities around the lookout.

## Facilities

The 14 x14-ft. lookout cabin sleeps four and is furnished with one twin-sized bed with mattress, two additional floor mattresses, a table and chairs, propane stove, pot, pan, silverware, coffee pot and battery operated lanterns. A primitive vault toilet is located several hundred feet down the ridge from the lookout. There is a picnic table at the bottom of the tower. There is no water at the site. Guests must bring water for drinking, cooking and washing. Guests must also bring flashlights, sleeping bags, towels, dish soap, matches, a first aid kit, toilet paper and garbage bags. All trash and food must be packed out, and guests are expected to clean the cabin before leaving

## Natural Features

On a clear day, guests at Heybrook Lookout see views of Mount Index and Bridal Veil Falls, Mount Baring, Mount Persis and the Wild Sky Wilderness.   
  
Wildlife is abundant, and guests may catch a glimpse of black bears, bobcat, elk or bald eagle. Wolves are making a comeback to the area, but they are usually heard and not seen.

Commercial kitchen for large groups is available for an extra charge at the lake Stickney community Club. 3/4 mile away from the public access. Ask me for details..

Woodlands at Lake Stickney

Get away from it all when you stay under the stars. Our eco-friendly outdoor bathhouse has a composting toilet that traps the methane gas that feeds the cook burner in the kitchen. There's a bidet toilet seat and no toilet paper (clean cloths are available for use). The bathhouse has a clawfoot tub for showers or soaking. You can also relax by the pond and pick berries and fruit when they're in season. Our alpacas, sheep and mini-mare are curious and friendly.

This small property supplies everything you could want for your glamping experience or for your base camp to explore the incredible Cascade Mountains. Whitewater the wild and scenic Cascade River and walk home to your base in the forest, ready for your campfire with s'mores and star gazing far from the lights of town.

This little gem has two tiny homes. One home supplies the outdoor kitchen and contains the solar powered electrical system, fridge, shower (on-demand water heater), toilet and running potable water. The second home is a bunkhouse with 4 twin bunk beds and a loft with a queen. The bunk house also has room for indoor games and room for 6 at dinner.

Next to the property is a homemade play area with boardwalks and climbing trees as well as swings! Plenty of room for extra vehicles or to set up tents.

Linens are not provided. Please plan to bring your own sheets or sleeping bags as well as towels.



Cascade River Base Camp

Hollyhock Farm is a diverse family farm on the hills of the Snoqualmie Valley. We raise a variety of animals using ethical methods that work with nature for the health of our farm and surrounding forest lands. We offer two campsites, as well as a tiny cabin.

All of our listings have a toilet available for use, trash disposal on site, potable water, and campfires are permitted (outside of burn bans.

There is an old railroad grade walking/biking trail nearby that runs up and down the length of the Snoqualmie valley. The Snoqualmie river also offers boating, floating, and swimming opportunities. The town of Duvall is 5min away and has restaurants, shopping, and a micro brewery.
