Manistique Lakeshore Campground

The campground itself is very nice, with concrete pads and very clean. I'm only giving it lower stars for two reasons. First the "lake view" sites don't actually have a view of the lake unless you count being able to see between a few branches. Second, the beach is way too polluted to use. There must be a paper mill or some other wood processing plant near by because the beach and the water filled with ground up wood shavings piled in every direction. We brought our kayaks but there was no way you could go in the water. However, if you just ignore the lake, it is a very nice campground.

I loved coming here. We tent camp and stayed in spot 1 and had great privacy being so close to the office. They had complimentary bikes you could use, fire wood and ice for sale, very very clean bathrooms, and the campground is smaller but with large sites. Laundry facility, vending machines, oh and large showers! Highly recommend it.

Went here on a road trip with my parents in their camper. Nice spot! Picnic table and nice sturdy fire pit is provided at each site. wood is available for purchase at the office. Site had a paved pad with gravel surrounding. Bathroom facility was clean.

On Lake Michigan. Large, private cement pad sites. Spotlessly clean. Full hookups. Bath and laundry facilities are some of the nicest I have ever seen. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Campers were also friendly. Great beach walking area. Some traffic noise from nearby highway, but it was quiet at night. Wind off the lake was chilly, but views were stunning.

This was such a surprise and such a great experience. Very clean campground, clean showers, great playground, beautiful beach and view of a lighthouse. Memorable experience for the whole family.

Loved camping here in our 42' fifth wheel. This campground is very clean and beautiful. It is perfectly located on Lake Michigan and easy access from highway 2. There is laundry, shower, and bathrooms for your convenience. Plus nice fire pits at each site and a playground. We truly enjoyed this campground and would definitely stay here again.

This is by far, one of the best campgrounds I have ever stayed that is an actual campground and not a resort. There are about 12-15 lake front sites with awesome views. Accessible nice sandy beaches and this park is very clean. All concrete pads with 30 or 50 amp on every site. WiFi works pretty decent, no local over air TV, but they do provide cable as well (mine was fuzzy, not sure if it was the service or my rig?) 2 washers and 2 dryers. Bathrooms are some of the nicest you will find with private shower rooms and separate bathrooms. Dump station on site for non guests for $10. Will definitely be back in the future!

Wonderful experience at this campground! We had site 45 which is right on the water with a small lighthouse in the background. The breeze off the water kept us cool. I wish we would have had more time at this campsite it was clean and the employees were very friendly. The bathhouse was very clean and centrally located so easy to walk too. The hook ups looked new and we’re on poles that lite up at night for easy use.

The playground is towards the front of the campground, our kids enjoyed playing on it. There is a public access area near by that shared the park access.

We will go back for sure! Kitch iti kipi was a short 15-20 minute drive, they open at 8am if you get there at 8 there was not a line.

They offer tent camping spots as well. WiFi was good and cell service Sprint was good.

Sites have ok space between them and are good sized.

The spots that back up to the lake are fantastic.

Well maintained campground on the shore of lake Michigan. Full hookups and Wi-Fi, however the internet connection can be intermittent. A little close to US 2 so there is some road noise. If you're lucky the sound of waves will drown it out.

Nice cement pads, made setting up a breeze since we were level from unhooking. Clean and quiet except some road noise. Hookups are great from electric to water and cable. Right on lake Michigan with Sandy beaches to walk or swim.

Fantastic little campground right on Lake Michigan. Well kept clean level sites with plenty of space between sites. Book early because sites go fast in the summer.

This probably was one of the cleanest campgrounds we ever went to. They have everything from full hookups to rustic tent sites. Each site has a huge permanent firepit. RV lots are large  and private, Lots of trees and there is a constant breezy that comes off of Lake Michigan. The only downfall is, it's more expensive than your typical campground. $40 - $60 range for the RV sites. Although $60 dollars, you can get your own private beach front lot. Bathrooms and Laundry room are super clean. You also get cable. Restaurants, shopping and a brewery are all within walking distance

This is a beautiful Campground with sites a few feet or a few yards from Lake Michigan. Fantastic south facing views. Close to town and lots to do in the area. Make sure you go to Jack's Market for pasties and pot pies. Eat in or carry out.
