    Kebler Corner

    Hidden Gem

We stayed here Thursday through Monday over Labor Day Weekend. It is in an absolutely beautiful spot and the campground is kept immaculately. It is right on the river so my husband was happy to be able to fish right behind our RV. We stayed in#33 which is on the end so we had more privacy and room. It was a concrete pad so easy to level and fire pits were great. They have everything you could think of-ninja lines, playset, zip line, hammocks, jenga, frisbee golf, etc. There were tons of kids that had a huge time. Mine loved it! There is a trail to hike up to a beautiful meadow. They have a general store/liquor store on site with a really good selection of items. We were able to make a short drive to Black Canyon National Park as well as some really nice local produce stops. The town of Hotchkiss is 15 mins away and has propane/restaurants/etc. Highly recommend staying here.

    Bellyache Road

    Tough trail post rain

Camp sites here are not well defined (look for fire rings). The trail is heavily rutted, and if it just rained gets incredibly muddy. Would definitely recommend a vehicle with decent 8”+ clearance, and decent all terrain tires if using the trail post rain. Otherwise my dogs loved playing in the sage brush.

Planned on staying 1 night, ended up staying 2!

This campsite was a nice creekside getaway! It had community bathrooms that included a sink with soap and even a shower! They had a general store that was accessible and had any goods that you may have forgotten. Overall this was a very clean and safe campsite with beautiful scenery. About an hour out from Crested Butte, this was great for a weekend getaway.

    Inconsiderate Staff

The KOA Glenwood Springs campground offers pleasant amenities, however, there are concerns regarding the maintenance and the professionalism of the staff. Multiple guests, including ourselves and fellow RVers, encountered rudeness characterized by a lack of care, communication, and basic courtesy. This experience with the staff significantly impacts our decision to not return to this location.

    Cotton Wood Lake #3

This was a great spot, it was hidden but there were a ton of people, they recently redid the back roads to get here and it was extremely busy (we had a rig pull up right next us at 1 am because there werent any spots). It is really pretty and close to Grand Junction. The misquote r pretty bad also, tons of spots, if there aren't a ton of people. Lots of lakes though and great fishing!

    Would happily visit again!

We stayed in a camper van over a busy holiday and loved it! We were hoping for a peaceful getaway for us and our dog and found it at Kebler. Yes, some of the spaces are close together but everyone there made it work well. The angled spots and strategic landscaping help too. Plenty of grassy common areas to stretch your legs and your pup’s (on leash), so much so we didn’t feel like we missed out on anything by not being parked with the big coaches along the river. Even better since the large river spots had little/no natural shade (most seemed to have their own awnings that our van didn’t so no worries there I think for them). The tent spots were in a different area on the other side of the property a little away from the busier parts. They also had less shade but had level pads and but seemed closer to the bridge (and hiking). The community vibe was respectful and friendly and it was lovely to stroll about and enjoy it all. Families were out and about, playing with their children and trying different things to do. There was a little playground and some activities in a covered space like velcro axe throwing and corn hole. There were soccer goals set up at one of the grassy areas too. There was also a frisbee golf course, hammocks and picnic tables scattered around the property. A sign by the bathrooms invited camp guests to go gentle group hike if you meet at the bridge at the posted time in the morning. The general store was open during the day and had more than I expected (came for stickers and snacks, left with a game of Bananagrams and more). There wasn’t cell service but wifi worked well for what we needed. The bathrooms were clean and the water was warm. On a busy weekend you might need to use the portable toilets near the tent sites if the regular ones are occupied at a busy time. In the future, splitting the shower and toilet facilities might help with that long term, but I am not sure how hard (and expensive) that is to do in places that are tucked away into the mountains like this. We did use the coin laundry and that worked well. At the time of our visit it was $2 for the washer and $3.50 for the dryer. There was a variety of cute cabins for rent with a good range in size and cost - and some have own their bathroom and even little patio spaces. The hosts and staff were friendly and helpful, even doing trash pickup in the morning if you left it out at a certain time by your site. Kebler is in a beautiful setting, has thoughtfully-designed spaces and is carefully maintained. We would definitely come back - hopefully in a camper van / travel trailer or even just to stay in one of the cabins.

Can't beat the price and location

I was a little worried after we booked this campground, but it wasn't horrible. It's super close to the hot springs, downtown area and gondola for the adventure park shopping etc. There is noise from the freeway, but it didn't bother us and I liked the view of the Colorado River. The roads leading in are a little rough. My family of 6 needs were met and that's all that mattered to us. Also having a extra clean shower on hand was really helpful. We had a great experience. I do wish our site (10)had more shade. For 62 bucks a night we definitely come back. The location was close to everything. Also only 30 minutes from Rifle state park.

    Wonderful healing trip

I had an amazing trip to the ranch, I stayed at the Faith RV spot for the electricity and just loved it, listening to the wonderful goats during the day, enjoying peace and tranquility. I will definitely be visiting again very soon!

    Ami's Acres Campground

Close to Glenwood Springs and Hanging Lake

General: A mix of pull-thru RV sites, back-in van sites, and walk-in tent sites. We called about two weeks prior and were happy to secure a site on a Saturday at the very end of April. This campground is located right on I70 so you will definitely hear highway noise (and occasional train noise). The sites are stacked on a hillside and as would be expected in an RV park, there is little separation/privacy between sites. The road in is a bit rough but so were many of the area roads after a harsh winter.

Site Quality: Sites are gravel. Site 55 was just long enough for our 18-foot van to fit. Not all of the van sites had picnic tables, but our site had a table where we could set up our camp stove and we ate inside our van. It also looked like there was a gas grill that might be shared for the van sites, but we didn’t inquire about it/use it. We had a fire pit but didn’t use it. Fires are NOT permitted in the RV sites and although there was a sign indicating a fire ban, you could speak with the office to see if fires are currently permitted in designated campfire pits.

Bath/Shower house: Was very clean and nicely appointed. Did not use the shower.

We chose this campground knowing we would hear highway noise, but it was a convenient location for our hike to Hanging Lake the next day. Craig was very welcoming both on the phone and upon our arrival.

    Ami's Acres Campground

    Old campground

The road leading into the campground is steep and very rough. The attendata was very friendly. Pull through site was nice, but some sites would be tricky to back into with a mid to large RV. Couldn't find a garbage dumpster so hauled the trash out with us. It served it purpose, but was pricing for what was there in my opinion.

    Very rude staff!

Craig, unfortunately is an impatient rude A$$H0LE. Because of him, my family and I will never stay at Ami's Acres. I had a few simple questions. I didn't understand his answers, and instead of explaining, he yelled at me and hung up!

    Easy access by a forester

Efficient for the evening. Sites are a bit unclear. Hikers on road in the AM and bikers on trail nearby. Good for a drive through on 70

    Quiet and relaxing

Loved this RV park! It was super quiet and peaceful. Meeker is one of my favorite towns in Colorado. Everyone is too nice there! Stayed for two weeks and will be back again. Laundry onsite, bathrooms and showers were cleaned daily. Was a few weeds growing here and there but the owners sprayed the day before we left! Meeker Airport is just across the highway so every once in awhile you could see cool helicopters, airplanes come in and fly away.

    Sage View Ranch

Can't wait to go back! Vamos a regresar!

Last May my husband and I stayed at their super cozy cottage equipped with all we needed and more. Breathing mountain views, walking distance to the town and wine tasting, hanging with goats and chickens, peaceful, safe and definitely relaxing. We are planning out next stay, we want to bring friends and family and experience other accomodations like the school bus or the tiki. The location is perfect, dark sky to admire the stars, and friendly hosts in site!

    Funky but nice

Lots of wonderful trees. Site 25 had a decent view. Not sure there is wifi, there are networks that maybe campsite wifi, but signals are weak. T-mobile signal is poor with 13 mbs downloads and 3 mbs uploads. Actually considering the location I'm surprised it is that good.

Clean, quiet in the early season

Small KOA: very clean, lovely staff.

As a drop-in with no reservation, we were lucky to get a spot with awesome concrete pad and patio furniture right beside the river. Stayed an extra night because we liked it.  We couldn't hear the road at all because of the high rushing spring river: perfect for sleep!

We enjoyed the paved bike bath all the way into Carbondale.

Carbondale is a nice town with some good restaurants.

We also enjoyed playing pickleball in Carbondale with the friendly local club.  They have 8 outdoor courts with gorgeous (distracting for my game) views of the mountains.

    Very nice campground !

Fall camping is the best! The aspens around this beautiful lake are really showing their color. The campsites are very spacious and spaced well apart.
Flushing toilets and showers are around the campground. Water is available too.

    Clean and spacious but loud

We needed some camping that accepts last minute reservations in the area so we landed here. The area is well organised, spacious, and clean (there's showers and restrooms). We stayed with our little tent at TM spot and had enough of privacy. Nice views when you stay near the river. Minus point for being so close to the quite busy street.

    Wonderful!

Such a cute little campground! Craig at the front desk was so friendly and helpful. So much character at this place. It’s not a brand new, shiny KOA, but it’s clean and full of love. The paintings on the bathroom doors were adorable!! This place reminded me of my grandparents home…

It’s not Glenwood but Silt has its charm

We loved near here for years so we were happy with the location. The campground is only a couple years old and has super clean, wonderful amenities and is very organized. Check in was a breeze, we have a beautiful site backing up to the river with full hookups. The splash pad, park, pool, hot tub and shower facility were all new and super clean. Wonderful facilities all around.

Highly recommend heading to miners claim for dinner on the free shuttle from the camp ground. We are here when we lived a few towns over a couple years back and it’s still one of the best choices around!
