Tower view

This campground was a most pleasant surprise. Lots of shade and our site had a direct view of the Tower. There is a little hiking path toward the tower through a prairie dog town. Overall I was impressed by the nice park and grounds.

Great Site for Devils Tower

No complaints. Arrived on the afternoon of Monday, June 8. Pretty full, but we were able to find a site without too much difficulty. Consistently 2-3 bars with Verizon, enough to hold a phone call. Bathrooms were big, had running water, and were clean. Trees provide great shelter from wind. Little to no bugs, except a decent amount of ant hills on the ground when we were setting up our tent. Site had a table and fire pit. Very good site overall.

Peaceful, spiritual, just know no hook-ups

This is my 3rd visit in 11 years at this non-reservable place. There's something about this national monument that keeps me coming back, and camping here is part of that draw. There are 2 loops, many sites are shaded by huge cottonwoods, 1 running-water bathroom building per loop. Each loop has ADA sites. Sites are large, flat, well spaced and pull-thru, and can accommodate large RVs. The sites are grassy and shade is available for tenters who pay attention to east/west movements. Potable water faucets are sprinkled about (Ha-ha), but none set-up for direct rv fill. Cost (7/26) is $20, or $10 for carded seniors. Generators allowed 8 to 8. *Now here's the important part: come here. Visit this unique national monument that is aways off from the interstate and can only be seen if you come here deliberately. You won't forget it. And the campground never fills up, so plan on staying at least 1 night to see the incredible stars.

FCFS - Go For It!

Despite a huge KOA just outside the Devil's Tower National Monument entrance, this first come first serve campground appears to be easy to find a spot if you arrive 5:00 or earlier. Camp is clean and we'll maintained. No hookups, but most sites are spacious and several have great views of Devil's Tower. Bathrooms have flush toilets and sinks, but no showers.

Clean simple love if for a few days

Clean flush toilets and potable water, no other amenities. Suspect it's great for stargazing but it was overcast for my stay. 20 for a normal spot 30 for a group spot. Only downsides are the group spots are double sized regular spots so expect to fit 2 trailers in there only, and the reservation was first come first serve so if you don't have a backup plan on quick draw try to get here by 1600 to give you time to find one, will stay again.

Front Row Seats!

I stayed here the first night of the season - May 15!  Wonderful views from Loop A, but there is not a bad seat in the house. Really friendly and attentive camp hosts. A note that the  camp attracts large groups of climbers, not ideal for solo travelers, but still, not to be missed.

Great views, overbearing hosts.

Campground has multiple water points and multiple bathrooms with flush toilets. Plenty of sun for solar power. Individual site has a fire ring and concrete pad with picnic table. There are multiple camp hosts and they are very overbearing, patrolling this place more frequently than a prison. They don’t even let you get set up before they are all the way up your hind end. I stayed for 13 days, most people are here for 1-2 nights. It’s hard to walk dogs around the park because you must stay in the roads and people like to speed and disregard pedestrians, park rangers are not interested in traffic enforcement. On the Belle Fourche River and lots of wildlife.

Devils tower

We are really happy with this campground. It's your basic no hookups campground, but it is very clean and we'll maintained. It has water available , flush toilets. No problem with cell service. It 20 a night and 10 a night for seniors . It is located right next to devils tower in the park. We did not have reservations and was fortunate enough to get a spot. However, we arrived in the off season so I'm sure that has something to do with why there were empty spaces. Otherwise, I'm sure during the season it would be busy. Great place. I recommend this campground if you're in the area and looking for something other than RV resorts and away from freeways. And the star gazing is amazing.

Beautiful campground great views

We stayed overnight in one of the b loop sites. It was a nice spacious and level campsite with plenty of space for us to chill out and relax. We could see the devils tower from our site as you can from most campsites here. The bathrooms were clean with flush toilets and running water with soap! There is even a dishwashing area for washing your dishes. We stayed in a tent and it was quiet and peaceful. The camp hosts were friendly. The only downside is no firewood this day, which evidently they usually provide for free.

Magnificent views of Devils Tower.

This campground is within the national park, in the Belle Fourche river valley. Nice mostly level camp sites to pull into. and plenty of open space to pitch a tent. There are fire rings and free firewood.  The bathrooms are clean and have running water. As for RV utilities there are none. no electric water or sewer hookups, however there are multiple water taps through out the campground at which you can hook a hose to and fill your tank.  So far it has been pleasant and quiet.

What a wild night!

Did a one nighter here. Not much shade. Very open and close to others. AMAZING view of Devils Tower, without a doubt.

We had just fallen asleep then woken by the sounds of a large bear roaring very close to us. We sat up terrified and kept hearing the roaring… after 5-7 minutes peering out of the top of the tent trying to figure out where it was… we finally realized IT WAS A MAN SNORING!?! NO JOKE! Finally fell back asleep couple hours later woken by what sounded like a shot… heard some hustle and bustle went back to sleep…

Woke up in the morning to find a GIANT tree branch broke off and landed in the middle of the grounds thankfully missing people and cars.

Bathroom was great! Clean and lit. Grounds were clean and convenient. No shade. No fire pits. Could hear everyone doing everything

Scenic campground with view of Devil’s Tower

Every site is a pull through. Generous spacing between sites. This is a first come, first served campground. We arrived at 2 pm on Fri Sept 6, and it was full by 4 pm. Flush toilets on site and water, but no showers or laundry. Access to hiking trails from the campground. Garbage dumpsters available, but no dump station. Payment (cash or check) is made at entrance, envelopes available. Campground management came through often. There are two loops. Loop B is more friendly to big rigs than Loop A. Cell signal was weak. Campground gets dark at night, perfect for stargazing. There is a KOA near the park entrance as well as some retail. From campground, you have to drive to the visitor center.

Stay while visiting Devils Tower

Stayed for 3 nights on our port-retirement trip. Sites are large enough for our 37 foot 5th wheel, and still had room for the truck.
No electric but had ok Verizon and pretty fast Starlink.
Campground was about 1/3 full and quiet.
Hosts were nice Bathrooms very clean and water from pump outside.
No dump station here or nearby (unless you pay over $80 a night for stay at KOA. Recommend for anyone that is self sufficient with no hookups.
Road here is hilly so trucks may curse you.

This was a super easy place to camp. There isn’t any privacy but it’s serene and great views of devils tower. Be aware they close parts of the camping loops in august for Sturgis parking so plan ahead of going there at that time. We got lucky and arrived at night with no reservations and they had some spaces.

Limited cell service. But nice bathrooms that are easy to get to. No showers. Would def love to stay here again and relax more.

What an incredible place! Wyoming is beautiful and you cant beat the area around Devils tower. You can see the tower from all different angles.

This campground does not have electric but has portable water and bathrooms. It is first come first serve and can fit different size rigs. Some people in tents and some in really big RVS.

It is peaceful. Right near Prairie dog land, a stream and there is also a general store a mile away. You just can't beat this view at night!
