I strongly recommend this site, but can be packed in the summer. I stayed here Dec 20th-21st. Because of season, there was a foot of snow at least. We had to dig out snow at the beginning because a snow plow pushed about 2 feet high. Then it was a mile back to the area, make sure you have really good tires and 4WD or chains. We then used our 4-runner to compact the snow at the site and dug the rest out with snow shovels. It was about 4°F/20°C that night. But nobody was there and the view was beautiful.

This was an absolute gem of a find! Designated spots with fire rings, pit toilets, and bear boxes. Ron, the campsite ambassador was awesome! He came by every day to check on all his campers. The spot is hopping—so come early. The views are amazing!

This campsite is incredible! Toilets were clean and always stocked on toilet paper. The view of the mountains was amazing! We arrived on a Thursday night around 5pm and got the last spot. The road is bumpy, but it was doable in our car.

I was lucky enough to snap an empty spot for my 30th birthday, with a beautiful view of the Tetons! Ron, the “camp ambassador” was so funny and a great host, my dog loved playing with his dog Meeka too. He kept the pit toilets SUPER well maintained and smelling great. Only problem is it gets really busy so spots are hard to come by!

The Grand Tetons really popped off. This dispersed site had an incredible view of them! The road wasn't too rough, minivan friendly. There are fire rings at each spot I saw, and a bear storage food lockbox not too far. The snow was light and beautiful. Didn't see much wildlife, except for a beautiful little fox towards sunset. Would recommend this place for Grand Teton admirers. 

I chose a spot farther towards the end of the road and didn't see/hear any of the other campers that were a few spaces away. Nice and secluded but open enough to feel safe and peaceful.

We felt super safe, the host from USFS came by and told us about bears in the area the night before but that we shouldn't worry. There are several loops for tent/van only and vault toilets and bear boxes. Great views of the Tetons and we even saw a moose in the horizon in the morning! We came around 5pm and secured a spot.

Bit of a drive off the main roads but worth it so far. Snow was not too bad except for in the actual sites themselves, as to be expected. Very low-key.

10/10 will come back! Very clean with some of the best views around! I camped in my car and could see the Tetons from my window. The hosts visited twice to see if I needed anything. Also had great cell service.

We just happened to get lucky on a Saturday morning to find this spot open. Absolutely beautiful!

Mostly paved road and about 1-2 miles on first road that r good. Spacious sites with fire pits. There is a bathroom. First come first serve but was fairly easy to find a spot

Wonderful place to stay if you can snag a spot and are visiting the Tetons. There are a range of sites from small for tents to bigger for RVs. Location is not exact, but if you go down Shadow Mtn road you will see the signs. Great view of the mountains!
