The written directions from other reviews were easy to follow. The road was gravel but pretty easy to drive. I found one of the first spots and was very comfortable. Beautiful space, some people drove past but not much noise aside from that. Loved this spot!
Plenty of spots on an easy dirt road, campfire rings and lots of space. There's so many birds and critters so you get the nature sounds but it's close to the road so there's road noise all night. Beautiful space. I think I heard a moose in the night-possibly not, but possibly?
The road was a bit sketchy, any 4WD would be fine I think. I took my mini van and camped at a turn out along the road because I was a bit hesitant, but again, others would probably be fine. There were lots of people going up the road until very late at night, then turning around and coming back down (I assume because there were no spots?) The stars are beautiful and it's very quiet and cool. Got cold at night but nothing unbearable, lovely sunrise too! I'd recommend bringing a warm sleeping bag and any essentials for dispersed camping. Honestly such a beautiful place, next time I'd like to find a space to set up my tent. Loved it!
The Grand Tetons really popped off. This dispersed site had an incredible view of them! The road wasn't too rough, minivan friendly. There are fire rings at each spot I saw, and a bear storage food lockbox not too far. The snow was light and beautiful. Didn't see much wildlife, except for a beautiful little fox towards sunset. Would recommend this place for Grand Teton admirers.
I chose a spot farther towards the end of the road and didn't see/hear any of the other campers that were a few spaces away. Nice and secluded but open enough to feel safe and peaceful.
I actually stayed a bit earlier on (at a trailhead parking lot; didn’t see any signs that said I couldn’t) down the road because this section of the road was closed and I just have to say what a fantastic view! The mountains up here are truly breathtaking and I would highly recommend staying anywhere in this area if you can. The weather was quite cold and crisp but worth every second of it. The night was quiet as I spent most of it in my car but the sunrise was like no other. Highly recommend
I pulled off here just after dark and there were some people camped farther up the road so I didn’t go too far from the highway. Some traffic noise from the spot I stayed at, not sure how it is farther up, but there was a multitude of cars coming in and out looking for a place then turning around. So quite a popular area. Had a little campfire which was nice and a great view of the stars. Perfect place for some solitude if you’re just passing through for the night.
I wandered in after dark and the dirt road was easy to navigate. No one was around for miles which was quite nice! A few people drove past (I assume to go hunting) but not much traffic noise. Peaceful along the water. Clean bathrooms. Because of the regulations I wasn’t able to make a fire and had to stay overnight at the designated camp spot but I would definitely recommend this spot.
