Rock Lakes Campground

This free campground on Washington State Department of Natural Resources land provides seven drive-in sites suitable for smaller RVs and tents. Recent improvements include new fire rings, gravel surfacing, and picnic tables at most sites. The vault toilets receive regular maintenance.

A steep trail leads down to the lakes, requiring sturdy footwear beyond sandals. Campers report minimal insect activity during summer months. The compact layout works best for teardrop trailers and tent camping rather than large RVs. For additional options, see campgrounds around Conconully or nearby Rock Creek Campground.

Nice little find

This campground is on DNR land and is free. There are 7 camp sites and would not recommend anything more than a teardrop trailer. Recently refreshed with new fire rings and gravel, and most sites have new picnic tables. Trail to the lakes is steep, so wear more than sandals. Insects are minimal and no mosquitoes were noted. Vault privy are relatively clean.
