Mineral Lake Lions Den Campground

Overview

Mineral Lake Lions Den Campground sits on the south shore of Mineral Lake in Mineral, Washington, approximately 19 miles from the Nisqually Entrance to Mount Rainier National Park. Owned and operated by the Mineral Lake Lions Club (a non-profit), the 12-acre property has welcomed campers since 1952 and is open to the general public from mid-April through the end of October.

Facilities

The campground has 94 sites for RV and tent camping, accommodating RVs up to 60 feet in length. Select sites offer water and electric hookups (20/30/50-amp); all sites include a picnic table and fire ring. A dump station is available to registered guests for a fee. A newly added shower building provides private stalls on a pay-per-use basis, and vault/pit toilet facilities are maintained on-site. Trash dumpsters are provided.

Recreation

The campground offers direct access to Mineral Lake, with a complimentary boat launch and first-come, first-served moorage for registered guests. Fishing is a primary draw — Mineral Lake is known for large trout — and the campground hosts the Annual Mineral Lake Fishing Derby each fourth weekend of April. Horseshoe pits and a playground are on-site. Swimming and kayaking are available on the lake.
