Well, could have been better. Site looks promising, is not as it shows. Showers and bathrooms dirty, and the price/night comes with nothing special.
Facilities are a tad shabby, but the location makes up for it. Nice old growth pecan trees line the property, which provides nice shade. Although we were in the very front site, which had less shade. We were able to ride our bikes to congress bridge, Barton Springs Pool, Barton Creek Greenbelt and even downtown. The streets are very bike friendly.
Great location with access to everything we wanted. We were able to ride our bike s to Congress bridge to vote the bats, to the trails of baton creek beltway, the Barton springs pool and lots more. Campground is shaded and has decent facilities.
It was new and a nifty little chill spot
Be sure to grab one of their burgers before you leave!
This location absolutely can’t be beat if you want to check out downtown Austin. We really enjoyed this place for the people and the location. The facilities weren’t in the best of shape, but that didn’t bother us– we were right near so many things to check out. We went on bike rides and runs right from the site and we could easily hop on a scooter and check out so many popular Austin spots. There is also a gas station store across the street from the park that has most things you will need in a pinch. There’s even a brewery next door! If we find ourselves in Austin again we will totally try to get a spot here– the location was great. We enjoyed checking out the bats, the presidential library and more!
Great place to stay in DT Austin. Close to DT and lots of great food/coffee nearby. I only stayed for a night but want to come back for a little longer.
This is a cool urban RV park in the heart of Austin Texas. The park is located along Barton Springs road in the coolest part of town. It’s next to a brewery, food trucks, and great pubs. It’s also very close to. Barton Spring Greenway and Zilker Park where the ALC music festival takes place in the Fall. The RV park has laundry facilities and bathrooms as well as full sewer, water, and power hookups. The residents are a collection of hippies, lost souls, and people just having fun in Austin. If you can get a reservation this would be the ultimate urban RV experience in Austin. Although many of the sites are taken by long term residents, some sites closer to Barton Springs Road.
We adore this place. It’s located in the middle of an urban oasis. Within walking distance to Zilker Park, Barton Springs, So. congress and downtown. Perfect place to stay and help keep Austin WEIRD
I don't know why you would consider staying anywhere else… you can walk to tons of stuff and it's only a 5 min drive/uber to downtown. We had a PT FHU on gravel, site 30, at the very front of the park. The park itself has lovely trees throughout and it's nice to walk around and talk to fellow campers that have been there longer. There are no picnic tables, fire rings or wifi... but when in a city like Austin, go out and do things. We are def going to come back!
This campground is run by a lovely older gentleman who only does reservations over the phone. The park is a lot of seasonal, but there are a number of spots available for travelers. It’s a tight fit around the solitary loop and would probably be difficult with a big rig. But we paid $45 a night to be within walking distance of 6th street and much of downtown. Worth it for that alone. (Also, I can’t comment on the showers and I couldn’t get the code for the ancient lock on the women’s door to open, but I was told the men’s room was in a bit of a state of disrepair).
