Easy to access, even for larger rigs. We stayed in 39 foot 5th wheel. Plenty of pull thru spots, full hookups, regularly spaced bathroom/showers. nice laundry room and rec areas.

Beautiful campground

Most sites are full hookup’s, level and sandy surface, shade trees. The park is great its real camping with the amenities of a resort. Pool play ground, game room and a 250 yard driving range! The place could us some TLC, but I would still recommend going there! Great place if you have a boat or kayak! 

Camping with resort amenities !

Park location is ideal Lake is beautiful many big trees! But roads are terrible, spaces are unlevel, with no uniform length! As usual for Thousand Trails never enough 50amp hookups.
There was suppose to be a laundry, no laundry.! There is a propane station, but no one is licensed to operate it! That turned out to be a huge problem. Biggest ice and snow storm in 70yrs temperatures down to  -2degrees below freezing for several days several inches of snow. All park water lines froze, rolling blackouts by the state, no propane available anywhere!!! Good thing my unit has a generator or I would have had to stay in my truck! I like to use Thousand Trails but they are not keeping their parks up. Park employees were helpful as they could be with very little resources. They gave me a bottle of propane from one of the cabins which was nice, and I appreciated that. They gave some to other campers, but there werent enough to go around. The park employee felt bad for not being able to help everyone! I will come back again in the summer.

Typical +

We have really enjoyed our stay here. The campground in late November is about 2/3 full with plenty of space between sites. There are some seasonal campers but there’s still many more available sites and all are great. The non RV area is not occupied and feels abandoned. The activity/community building in that area is closed indefinitely. That could  be why no one is there to tent camp because there are no bathrooms nearby.  But it’s an area you can retreat to for quiet solitude. We have a view of the water and wildlife across the road with no sites to impede our view. This campground has several loops that follows the little branches of the lake. There are trails that accommodate bikes, and lots of activities for families and adults in separate areas. It has all the qualities of a COE with proximity to water, trails, bathroom and laundry facilities with the additional bonus of two separate pool areas and indoor facilities for events, games,  TV, or community activities that they have regularly.  There are playgrounds, mini golf, ping pong, corn hole, etc.  This place is really huge and spread out. Oh, also a driving range in the center.  Dallas is over an hour away. So for other things to do beyond the campground you will have to drive a bit. But there’s good places to eat in Wills Point and Terrell. 

Like a COE campground 

We enjoyed our stay here, it was quiet and we enjoyed the pools at the park. The bathrooms were dated and worn and some of the main roads were a little bumpy but it was a very beautiful park! 

Large Park

We we’re staying in a cabin with a plumbing issue. We were able to move to another cabin and Kevin and Chris were really helpful.
