Directions

Roads to the State Natural Area include rough gravel surfaces after leaving the highway. Recommended tires should be of 8 ply rating minimum to prevent flats and blowouts. The nearest full-service station is 35 miles away in Del Rio. Please be respectful of speed limits on these rough dusty roads. From Del Rio: If arriving from Del Rio go north on Highway 277 for 22 miles, then turn left on Miers Ranch Road. Veer left after 3 miles onto Private Road 1500. Stay on PR1500 for 6.5 miles to the SNA headquarters. From San Antonio: Take I-10 West to Sonora. Take Hwy 277 South for 63 miles. Turn right on Miers Ranch Rd. Veer Left after 3 Miles onto Private Road 1500. Stay on PR1500 for 6.5 Miles to SNA Headquarters. Please be respectful of speed limits on these rough dusty roads.
