Beautiful park, not so great management

Beautiful park but absolutely unacceptable and erratic behavior by the owner. We came over Memorial Day weekend to check out the springs and look at camp sites for our new travel trailer and our parents RV. The lady up front is extremely nice, but her husband on the golf cart first accused us of not paying then told us we were not allowed to drive in the park after we made a loop looking for the side entrance to the spring since the main area was too crowded for my group. The owner called me a liar multiple times when I said that I did not know we were not allowed to drive through the park and stated that he would have me "thrown in jail" for being there(after we had paid to be there). No refund was given, even though we never made it out of our vehicle the whole 10 minutes we were there. As a business owner, Chamber member and native East Texan I know this is not the hospitality we are accustomed to and I apologize for anyone visiting our area that has experienced this same behavior from this park.

Pretty, but not for us.

My family visited with my mother in law and my sister in law and her family. The managers acted like it was going to be a crazy busy weekend over Memorial Day. There’s 8 RVs here, and even the swimming hole has room for everyone, and then some.

The site is situated with a spring that opens up to swim in. The water is unnaturally blue, and truly looks dyed. It’s ice cold, though! Back in the woods where the water is running, it’s crystal clear and beautiful. The best part is the deer that will walk right up to you that you can hand feed. The flies are horrendous, and so are the ants. The bathhouse is exceptionally clean and very comfortable. We enjoyed utilizing this feature. Management is different. We’ve been micromanaged to death during our stay. We’ve been asked dozens of time what we’re doing, what are plans are, how long we’re staying etc…. We were even asked to help catch a cat that’s running around with a double eye infection, and possibly a case of mange. We affectionately refer to it as zombie cat. It’s very sweet, just needs some veterinary care.

Cell phone service here is almost non existent. We have sprint service and have one bar, if we are outside in certain areas. Would not recommend staying here if you work remotely.

Otherwise, it’s very quiet and peaceful. Very clean. White rock parking areas for pads, full hookups.

Beautiful Setting

This is a pretty seeing with a spring fed pond for summer swimming. There's 2 rec rooms for group gatherings, complete with kitchens. The sites are very close together. Wifi is good, but only feasible right by the office. No phone reception, no data. I would return because the gals I es camping with swore the hordes of houseflies were not normal. It's 3 days later and I'm still killing them in my truck and trailer.
