Katmandu RV Park & Campground

Overview

Katmandu RV Park & Campground is a privately owned, 50-acre commercial campground located just off I-90 at Exit 34, on the eastern edge of Sturgis, South Dakota. It caters primarily to Sturgis Motorcycle Rally attendees and summer visitors exploring the Black Hills and nearby canyon trailheads. The campground offers RV sites, tent sites, and camping cabins, with a year-round vacation home also available on the property.

Facilities

The park has over 250 RV sites, the majority being extra-large pull-throughs, with full hookup (water, electric 30/50 amp, sewer) and limited hookup (water and electric) options. Tent sites include awnings and electric access. Twenty camping cabins sleep 2–4 and include A/C, heat, microwave, coffee maker, and refrigerator. A shower house features individual stalls with continuous hot water, private flushing toilets, and ADA-accessible facilities. On-site amenities include a convenience store, bar/lounge, laundry facility, playground, dump station, and Wi-Fi. Winter RV storage is available by phone.

Recreation & Nearby Attractions

The property neighbors the Black Hills National Forest with walking-distance access to trailheads including Bulldog Canyon. During the Sturgis Rally, a shuttle bus runs to and from town. Nearby points of interest include the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum & Hall of Fame (~7 km) and Old Fort Meade Museum (~6 km).
