It’s the Beach
We stayed at Myrtle Beach State Park in a travel trailer. Our site was spacious and was fairly separated from others by trees and brush, in typical state park fashion. Our site had full hookups, which was also a plus. We weren’t there in summer, but we could see how getting to the beach isn’t super convenient. We could also see where the beach might be crowded during peak times.
We also visited Myrtle Beach proper a couple times. We had lunch one day and explored the city. On another day, we attempted to go for an early dinner but returned to the park because the area (the main road) seemed sketchy. It wasn’t dark but there was activity that made us nervous.
