The Best Camping Near Wallowa-Whitman National Forest, Oregon

During mid summer months depending on your campsite you should bring mosquito spray ..they aren't bad just annoying

This place is a beautiful and very quiet area next to the majestic Eagle Caps

Camps were clean, well dispersed all along the creek. Latrine was nice, well supplied, and even had a grab bar. Well graveled road. Expect washboards, potholes, and blind corners. 50 minutes from Medical Springs (last 18 miles), taking it easy with camper. 

Beautiful 

Spent the week here with my sons, monday- Saturday. During the week, it was just us and 1 or 2 other campers, come Friday, it was PACKED.  It's a beautiful campground!
**No cell service for Verizon, sprint, and US cellular ***

Pros:
*Quiet
*Creek 20 ft away
*Clean vault toilet 
*Large sites

Cons:
*It got packed.
*The gnats were THICK
*The last 15 miles are on a gravel road.
Lots of blind corners, 1 lane with straight drop offs. 
** If you have anxiety about cliffs, I do not recommend**

Would we go here again? Maybe. Would I recommend here? Sure!
