 Fall River Campground is located along Fall River within the Deschutes National Forest west of La Pine. 
## Recreation

 Campers can enjoy the nearby Fall River Trail which offers frequent views of crystal clear Fall River. This trail can be accessed from one of three [Fall River Trailheads][1]. Visitors can also enjoy fishing on Fall River although it is limited to fly fishing only. 
## Natural Features

 Fall River's headwaters bubble from the ground approximately 1/4 mile from the campground. The river meanders through the forest before joining the Deschutes River. Legal-sized brook and rainbow trout are stocked several times a year.

 Fall River Trail leaves from this campground and follows the river.

The Best Camping Near La Pine, Oregon

Sites are $15/night w/$5 charge for extra vehicles. This camp is a fly fisherman’s dream. Choose from one of the many sites just off the bank of the Fall River, and you’ll find yourself wandering aimlessly along the River looking for trout. The walk from camp to the river was 75 feet. Amazing to hear the sound of the water trickling all night and the silence of a secluded camp. This place tends to fill up towards dark.

No running water in sites

Cool Camp Area 

GPS takes you right to parking for this set of sites. I heard there are more down the road. Great open and flat spots to set up tents. There are enough trees for cover and setting up hammocks. These sites are also right on Fall River which makes for great noise while sleeping and hanging out. Only an hour drive from Denver so we’ll definitely come back

This information is all wrong

Only 40 minutes from golden, coordinates lead you straight to a parking area with a few good spots. Flat area for tents, plenty of trees for hammocks, and easy access to the river. We did notice a fair amount of garbage, so maybe bring an extra bag to pack it out with you just in case.

Easy, Close, and Great

This campsite offers many wooded sites near the creek. It is peaceful and beautiful. I have been twice now, and leaving trash seems to be pretty common. Once trash pickup is complete, the sites are simple and functional. Good flat spots for tents and plenty of trees for hammocks!! It’s a build-your-own fire pit, but there’s lots of rocks to choose from. Firewood is scarce, so bringing your own is probably a good idea!

Pack it out!!

This is the first time I've camped in Fall River Road and it is wonderful! Best part, FREE! With hiking trails, water(creek) and a beautiful camp site

Clean, serene, and green

A little close to the road but nice being next to the river. The river is nice and shallow but cold. Pit toilets were clean. 
Lots of spots reserved but no one in them. That shouldn’t be allowed. It should be first come first serve. 

Some road noise 

Decent little campground. Booked a last minute site Memorial Day weekend. For sure 10 - wasn’t the best spot but wasn’t the worst either. Nice trail by the river. Host didn’t have any firewood for sale, but there were places to grab ice/wood about 10-15 away. Pretty calm and quite despite the holiday weekend 

Memorial Day Weekend  

Beautiful spot on the river. Small, but nice sites. We had a thick-headed squatter in our reserved site. The host was able to get us squared away in another site and avoided conflict. He’s very funny too. A true hist hero. 

Great Host

Nice , smaller campsite along the Fall River but clean overall. The pit toilet within the campground  is clean. The one nearby the entrance used for day use needs more attention as it gets used more frequently. This summer the women's bathroom door in that particular outhouse was ripped out. No water or electricity here. I've occasionally camped here during the past summers and if you love to flyfish, this is the place to stay. The Fall River is strictly for flyfishing only. Very limited to zero cell service depending on where you are in the campground.
