We were there 3 night. With no kids. More of a tent camping campground. Not two many spots could fit bigger campers.

This is a smaller, older campground. We were in the non electric site area. It was pretty quiet, a great place to chill. The showers are older but well kept up. No bugs, we even watch them broom the outside windows and doors knocking down all webs.Nice shower head, good pressure. There are only vault toilets, but not bad , they pressure washed really well. Has dump station and plenty potable water stations. Good canoe and kayak lake. Part of buckeye trail on one side of lake. Has a playarea for kids with basketball court.

I had a great time. There are running showers and none plumbed bathrooms. It does have a laundry room also.

We just did a lot minute thing and went here.

Secluded, peaceful, great campground!

We had the whole back section to ourself! Not a soul on site but a few boats out fishing. We didn’t use any of the facilities or look at them but had been warned they weren’t the best! The seclusion and the view were top notch. It rained so we didn’t test out the hammock trees but we were able to easily get a dog run set up! Site 22 was our site but 23,24, and 25 all looked pretty awesome! We didn’t try the trails due to the weather but if you are just looking to chill at the site with a great view this will do the trick. We did buy some wood from the camp store in the morning a few small pieces of hardwood that worked perfectly!

Small campground. Beautiful area. Nice showers. Hole in the ground toilets.

Our first visit to this campground with a whim on picking a site. The pad was level and not bad in length. It had a tree on site for a little shade and some grass. A lot was dirt so watch out for the rain. We were across from the vault toilets and the amphitheater. The toilets aren’t great but they were kept clean. The shower houses only had showers - no flush toilets. We hiked following their trail but had to turn around as a bridge was closed. Great flowers and mushrooms and the lake was gorgeous. Some of the electric sites were very small or had a very bad dip on the pad. Choose your site wisely.

What a beautiful place, great campsite with plenty of room between neighbors, weather was perfect and the staff friendly.

Clean and well stocked restrooms, a nice playground and clean bath houses.

Kayaking is wonderful since boat over 10hp are not allowed.

We arrived on a Sunday and no one was there for us to check in with, which we found odd. Our next stop was the dump station to make sure there was running water and to our surprise, there wasn't. The only way to fill up with water was a hose bibb on the Ranger office at the front gate. The campground is perfectly set up though for people wanting more quiet neighbors down on the lake, it's more cramped in the electric sites and the shower houses could use some updating, especially with ADA regulations. Alot of local traffic like to drive down to the lake sites and go fishing if they're unoccupied, which makes for awkward stares at times. The park has great views, wonderful for kayaking, great for pets, birding, fishing and about 7 beaver dens and 1 very cool beaver dam. I definitely recommend this park for nature lovers and true state park supporters. I only give it a 4/5 because of the water supply not being open for use.

We love Wolf Run if you are just planning to chill at the campsite. Choose one of the “premium” sites for beautiful lakeside views! It’s pretty quiet and usually not busy.

If you are in to hiking, look elsewhere. There is a trail, but we have never been able to successfully follow it, as it doesn’t seem super clearly marked.

We got engaged on the lake view site in early fall and also spent Halloween weekend there! It definitely adds a spook factor if you are camping that time of year. We were the only ones tent camping that weekend!

Great smaller park, (1,000+acre) with easy access to the interstate. My Grandsons Love that the water is clearer than most lakes here in Ohio!! The campsites wrap around the lake, so most of them are Very close to the lake!! Since it is a smaller lake, there isn't any high speed water activities to interrupt your fishing! Great for kayaking, which you can rent at location. There is a playground and a basketball court. And a nice icecream shop with reasonable prices, right at the entrance.

Not a lot of sights but very pretty. Some gorgeous trails around the lake. Tiny camp store. The first night someone came in & took our spot we reserved. Thankfully they left early the next morning. The trails were semi-busy until you got back in there. A lot of people were fishing in the dam area for the trout release.

The campground itself is lovely, with some lakeside camping. Family friendly and pretty quiet even during busy weekends.

The downfall is the cleanliness of the facilities. Bathrooms and showerhouses are somewhat neglected.

Most people drive to the swimming area, however there is a walking trail. They dotrave kayaks available to rent, a nice way to kill a couple hours as the lake is beautiful.

Weekend get away with the wife and dog. Pet friendly park. Walking path to the lake which was very close. Would advise to visually check the sites, due to terrain which is rolling.

Wolf Run State Park is in Caldwell, Oh right off Rt 77. No big cities round here. Lots of Ohio farmland countryside though.

There is a nice size lake in the middle of Wolf Run so everything is based around it. Watch the traffic when driving from one area to another.

The campsite takes up a small part of the park and there are plenty of activities in addition to water sports.

The campsite is basic, though about half the sites are with electric. There are latrines located conviently in each area and a showerhouse with laundry facility. The sites are nice size, close together and not a lot of tree cover. Well maintained and run by knowledgeable staff.

Beautiful, peaceful woodsy area with lots of trees and wildlife to watch. There is swimming, fishing, boating, hunting and plenty of trails. About 140 campsites but only half with electric.
