Breathtaking views, great camping
It’s a windy road with a dead drop on the outside lane to a very high canyon with no guard rail... but it was SO worth it! The campsites are open, but separated by bushes and the hill that they’re naturally built on, bathrooms are very clean and the view is just out of this world.
There were a bunch of people fishing in the early hours while we headed to the small hike up to the waterfall above Angel Lake. There were other trailheads that we didn’t get to as well, but hope to explore on future trips!
The lake itself was cool, clear, and refreshing to swim in! Many were kayaking and paddle boarding, and it was a relaxing environment all around with very friendly people. We can’t wait to go back!
