Accommodating and beautiful
I called in last minute with a big rig with jeep. Not expecting much, I drove into a beautiful forested site with a lovely creek. Full Hookups, well kept, inviting staff. I wish I was staying longer!

Big dry camping spot under trees. Can walk to the river. Two Porto ponies nearby. On main bathhouse. Cold washers. Medium 5G. $27/night
Thanks for staying with us, DL M.!
Efficient, well maintained campground. It was a very businesslike vibe which I can appreciate growing up in NY, but it was intense after leaving the last campground we came from. The owner was super laid back and you didn't feel like you were going to put a foot wrong. We signed a long list of terms and conditions/rules, certain breeds of dogs arent allowed for insurance purposes I'm sure , etc. We had a lab/boxer mutt, but it wasn't an issue.
The employees were constantly running around keeping up with the place and kindly showed us to our camp spot. They had a golf game around the property and trail to the river. It was a nice campground for a one night stay. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Our spot was level and east to access. Campground was also super close to Missoula and we were able to run a bunch of errands. Try Biga Pizza while in town!
The grounds are clean. But if you are camping and here for the camping life, they don’t allow fires unless it’s in their fire ring and only a few camp sites have fire rings. We asked if we could use our fire pit that we brought (solo stove) and they said no. And there are no communal fire rings. What’s camping without a fire at night? They also don’t allow charcoal grills. And they don’t provide any grilling area. They have a washing machine. But it only washes in cold. And they don’t have a dryer. There are a lot of rules and A LOT of fees for little things that you can do wrong. -fee if you check in late -fee if you check out late -fee if your dog is on a leash longer than 6ft -fee if your dog poops or pees in the wrong area -no totable black and grey disposal allowed - but you can pay a fee of $25 to have them come dump your tanks. 🙄
Wish we had stayed somewhere else. We just felt like we were going to break any little nit-picky rule and get fined.
But it is clean.
Benjamin,
Thanks for the review. We're glad to hear that you appreciated the cleanliness of the park. We've implemented guidelines for black/grey water tanks, pet waste fees (for not picking up after pets), and limitations to fire pits to encourage campers to leave the park better than they found it. We would rather not resort to fees, but it seems to be working to get less experienced campers to treat the park with care. We are always working on adding new amenities and exploring options to accommodate more campfires while also limiting the risk of wildfire. We hope you come back to see these improvements each year.
Great community and setting with the nearby creek and friendly staff and guests. Spaces are tightly packed in so not much privacy but the sense of community makes up for that to some degree.
Mostly RV’s and a few tents. People are nice and the facilities are neat and free. They even have a free washing machine. And they have a lot of games like golf, cornhole and a frisbee course.
The people running the campground are nice. The bathrooms were kept clean. There are games available for free (horseshoes, cornhole, frisbee golf, and more). There is a washing machine available that I believe is free to use. There is free wifi, but the service was certainly spotty.
We usually avoid commercial campgrounds because they are overpriced and we often are paying the same price as a $400,000 RV that is running hot water, laundry, AC etc when we plug in an extension cord to run our fan. We got a site last minute on a holiday weekend and the woman who answered was very pleasant and helpful. The pine trees smell great, they have washing machines and a line to dry, bath house and showers. There is a little putting course for kids among the trees. It is a good family campground.
Don't let the name fool you, this is a great little RV campground for anyone traveling through the area. They don't make you dance although they do have a very solid event calendar, so if you do have the bug to shake a rug, then this would be a good place for you. The staff is super helpful, the facilities are clean. Full hook-ups are available, and it's close to everything yet nestled in the forest. The sites are a little tight in places, but in general, you're not stacked up like sardines and still feel like you're camping. We stayed here two nights and used it as a basecamp for biking, paddle boarding, and touring Missoula and the University of Montana. It was perfect. Even got in a good round of "cornhole" with some friendly campers we met who had come all the way from Florida. Good times, restful nights of sleep, and exceptional WiFi!
Great last minute spot that had a space for my class A motor home. Lots of great spots, friendly staff, clean and well taken care of campground. Will definitely comeback and recommend to anyone.
