Overview
North Fork River Ranch is a privately owned, year-round equestrian and outdoor recreation campground located near West Plains, Missouri, in the heart of the Ozarks. The ranch encompasses over 800 acres of private land and borders Mark Twain National Forest, with the North Fork of the White River running through the property providing approximately 2 miles of river frontage.
Facilities
The ranch offers RV sites with full hookups (water, electric, and sewer; 30-amp and 50-amp service available), tent sites, cabins, and bunkrooms. Bath houses are located at the lodge and in the long-term campers' barn; washer and dryer are available on-site. A country general store operates in the office. Nightly rates range from approximately $20 for tent/basic sites to $40 for full-hookup RV sites; horse stalls are available at $7/night.
Recreation
Activities include horseback riding on hundreds of acres of private and national forest trails, fishing, canoeing, and kayaking on the North Fork River (canoe and kayak rentals available on-site), swimming, and hiking. Group event facilities including a dining hall and reception hall are available for family reunions, church retreats, and weddings.
