Badger Campground is located in Mark Twain State Park, near the rolling hills and forested areas of Missouri. The region experiences temperatures ranging from the low 30s in winter to the high 80s in summer. Campers can explore the nearby Mark Twain Lake and enjoy activities such as fishing and hiking within the park.

Badger Campground is open all year with pads ranging from 52 to 66 feet long. Each campsite has a picnic table, lantern hanger, and fire pit and there is one ADA-accessible site, which is number eight. There are showers with hot water, restrooms with flush toilets, and laundry facilities on the main park road by campsite number one. There is also a woodlot nearby where you can chop your own wood for a fire. The RV dump site is at the eastern end of the campsite by the exit to Highway 107. Potable water spigots are located at campsites six and 18. From November until March, you will need to go to the frost-free water access by campsite one in Badger Campground. Pets are welcome as long as they are restrained or on a leash at all times.

The Best Camping Near Stoutsville, Missouri

A group of us stayed on the Badger loop.  Each has gravel pads with electric, picnic table, lantern pole and fire ring.  Plenty of buffer between sites and quiet.  Clean showers, park programs for kids and friendly camp host.  We enjoyed driving over to Mark Twain’s birth place and shrine and antiquing in Perry.

Always very packed but the lake is peaceful and great for boating ans fIshing and boat access Is nice. There is also a great, and decently easy, hiking trail located at the park that has great views of the lake.
