Stayed on the full hook-up North East loop (incline or decline into some of the sites, well spaced). Cleanest state park bathroom in all of MD! Activities included: the town of North East (15min away), loop hike to the Turkey Point Lighthouse at sunset, and hanging out on the Elk river…

We tent camp here on weekends. Usually check to see what bands are playing or fun activity going on. We live 5 minutes away so it’s a nice “getaway”.
Only downside is the walk to the bathrooms if you tent camp. A long walk if you really got to go.
Warm, friendly staff. Large, quiet sites among the trees and by a creek. Pleasant experience.
The campground is not a far walk from the parking lot. Great tree coverage. Hikers take any trail instead of marked trails regardless of families camping in a private areas. When I made the reservation it was noted that hikers were not allowed on campsites. They should post this info for the people…
Our go to State Park for camping as it is pretty close to home. Standard State Park with all the amenities you need. We are tent campers/ non electric (no pets/ no kids). So we don’t need much other than some privacy. Some sites are closer together than others though. Decent bathhouses. Town of…

Campground is beautiful nestled in the hills of Catoctin Mountain. Only 30 minutes north of Frederick. There is a lot of beautiful trails in the area and a man-made lake with two swimming area beaches. The last couple years they have had issues with Alge and have low lake levels. Good for kayaking…

I camped near Chimney rocks and Hermitage cabin and the place is truly magnificent. If you want to stay at the cabin, it looks super cute. If not, there’s a few campsites just a little bit down, close to the river and large enough for 4 double tents. There’s a lot to do near by with a town not too…
Nice sized spots, wooded, paved roads beautiful lake. Not a garbage can to be found park wide! Dumpster at either end that's it. Camp sink says to not leave food in sink, where exactly are you supposed to throw it away?!?!
The days were beautiful and relaxing!
Campground was clean!! Bathrooms were decent and was quiet.
Inaugural trip with travel trailer. Pull-Thru site will all hookups in good working order. Site felt spacious with a nice grass strip. Bath house was immaculate.
This campground/park was nice, clean and beautiful. Friends stayed in a super cute cabin & we stayed at RV site. Both great.
Cedar Creek was amazing and clean. Staff was friendly and courteous. Price is affordable. The only complaint is the neighbor outdoors man sports out door range less than a mile away. Not bothersome or concerned for safety. Just takes away from the rural feel. Cabin was clean and perfect. …
I can't say enough about Elk Neck for Camping. A few main points are, large scaled, full amenities, family, safe, and clean. They have laundry services and a working payphone. OMG
