We got here late on a Friday and boy was it packed. It was a pretty tight fit and at a perpendicular. Not sure why campsites do that. We didn’t use the bathroom or showers because it was so late and honestly because they only had one bathroom location for all those people and it was on the opposite side of the campsite. They have SO many activities going on for kids and families including crafts and a magic show. They also had a diner and general store. Didn’t go into the store but did get breakfast from the diner and the breakfast was honestly delicious. It was about a 20 min wait at 8:15 but the quality of the food totally makes up for that. I recommend the sausage gravy and biscuits. Overall, great spot if you’ve got kids. Pretty packed if you’re just traveling or looking for some outdoor time.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Sites, amenities, and bathrooms/ showers were all clean and well kept. Staff was always friendly and accommodating (we even extended our stay and while our first site was booked they found us a near by site that was open). No problems with hook ups or dump station.

RV spaces were a little tight for a campfire but staff were great, bathrooms clean and nice food amenities

Campground is small and sits right on the river. Do not follow your GPS, use the directions on the campground website.

Amazing staff that are very laid back. Sites are tight, but the sight we aware in was easy to get in and out. Power is near the back of the site. Dump station is easy to access and clean

This is a small but quaint KOA. Set right next to the river and you fish if you want to. DO NOT follow your GPS. Follow the directions on the KOA Website.

Sites are a little tight, but allow you easy access to town once you get set up. Bathrooms we clean, did not use the shower. staff was very friendly. 1 hour from DC and Baltimore.

We arrived Friday afternoon and left Sunday morning. It was our son's first time camping. Camp site was very clean and staff friendly. Lots of activities for kids and a very pretty setting. Will definitely be staying again.

Hidden gem

At first glance, you might miss the beauty of this place. We were only interested in one night. Looking back, we want to get back there. River is right on the property and we should have done some fishing.

Dog rating: 3/5 everything's dog friendly but also you're up everybody's butt and it's the most overly dog friendly like I would never think that I would say that but there's so many dogs and this is kind of a less resort less camper more permanent resident type place so a lot of the people have their dogs on like electric collars which really messes and your dogs. Internet: none but our ATnT router worked

We pulled in after sunset but were pleasantly surprised by our site and the campground when we woke up the next morning! Our site was easily accessible.. nothing real special about it in general but spacious. This KOA has a few 'petting zoo' animals and a quaint little diner! The folks here are very kind and we do wish we could have stayed a little longer to explore the beautiful surroundings. Would stay again!

This camp is fine for a quick stop, but could use some work to bring it up to a KOA standard. Bathrooms are a bit outdated and small, stall doors wouldn't lock. Only one bathroom/showers for the whole camp. Playground is fine. Jump pad needs to be replaced. Sites seem to be clean and it served its role on our trip. Just expected a little more for a KOA.

It's a small campground and it was a little nerve-wrecking getting here for the last mile or two on local roads. There are a lot of fun activities for kids and the proximity to Antietam is nice. But, sites are tight lengthwise...whatever length you enter is the length site you'll get! Halloween parade was fun, but haunted house was HORRIBLE. We came in fall, so I can't judge summer and pool.

I'll give them credit for opening early in the season, and for the quiet location, but the place is a muddy mess when it rains. The septic system is the quest I've seen at any campground, basically just a hole flush to the ground with a loose cap on it. I can see where it could have some redeeming qualities when it was manicured, or even cleaned up a bit. But KOA, you can do a lot better. Clean your act up.

Beautiful campgrounds situated near a creek. The campgrounds have a homey feel and were decorated nicely for fall & Halloween. The staff & hosts were incredibly nice & helpful. The restrooms & showers were the cleanest I've seen. The sites were very nice and equipped with an upgraded firepit with a swivel grill for cooking instead of the standard ring or rocks. I only stayed one night due to traveling through but would love to go back & stay again

Love love love this campground. Activities for the kids, diner with a great breakfast selection and subs and pizza for dinner. Very clean facilities. Great staff. Delivery of wood or ice to your site. You can get a site along the creek where you can tube or kayak (they rent them out here)! Close to Antitiem battlefield, vineyards, antiques or even DC (1 hour). At Halloween they have a great haunted house.

We have stayed in the camping cabins here multiple times. We love the animals and activities for the kids. Fall is the best at this campground with the trick or treating and haunted house.

This campground is a wonderful place to stay. Everyone is very friendly and they have a lot to keep the kids busy.

a petite campground in a lovely setting. my kids were obsessed with the goats and the little mining table. the staff felt like family.

My biggest complaint about this campground is how close the sites were together. They packed a lot of sites into a small area and it shows. The campground was maintained well and easy to access. I wouldn't want to stay here for a long period of time, but for a quick weekend away with the family, it was decent.

Small campground with not many amenities.

Have visited this KOA several times, as a cabin renter, tent camper, and single day-entry user. It's not bad, but pretty small, cramped, and "tired"-looking. Definitely has a down-home feel, with the same high pricing as other KOAs, but not as many amenities. Maybe that's not the right word; I should say "smaller" amenities (smaller pool and playground, less bath houses, not as many activities offered). The creek backing up to the campground is very pretty, as is the landscaping throughout the property. However, the roads are very windy and narrow, and I can't imagine trying to maneuver a large RV in there.

Overall, although it's a pretty decent campground, it could use a facelift, and I feel it has most of the cons of a KOA (tight spacing, noise, and high price) with few of the pros (i.e., nicer amenities) that those who book KOAs usually expect.
