Good place
Close to the interstate, good gravel spots with full hookups. Nice bathrooms and showers

The bathrooms here were heated and sparkling clean. Our Starlink had zero obstructions worked lightening fast. We LOVED having a dog park to exercise our dogs daily!
Great location, close to all the Springfield attractions and Slauterhaus Brewing in Auburn, IL (this is the best brewery nearby, better than Buzz Bomb or Obed & Issacs in town!).
Beautiful place! We called ahead to see if they had sites available for the next two nights. Arrived just before the office closed at 5:45pm. The campground area past the office is electronically gated and registrants receive a scannable card for entry. Once we had scanned and entered through the gate they escorted us to our pull-through full-hookups site. The campsites are nice and wide, gravel like the roads, with wide grassy areas between and beautiful mature shade trees everywhere. Our site had a picnic table and a small fire ring. Full hookups worked fine.
The campground is next to a large corn field that has recently been cut; I suspect during the growing/harvest season there may be dust and noise from equipment, and perhaps overspray from any chemicals that are dusted on it. This time of year it was nice and quiet. The noise from the highway bordering both cornfield and campground, however, was loud and constant.
Bathrooms were clean and aerated by large fans which were loud but effective.
We would definitely stay here again.
Very close to Springfield to see the sites. Well maintained and level spots. Great staff. Nice pool for the kids or adults if wanted.
We stayed one night at Double J Campground and would highly recommend! Staff were super friendly and went out of their way to accommodate! Pool was clean, bathrooms were newly updated and immaculate, putt-putt was fun (and free), and there was plenty of space and shade. You can hear the highway traffic nearby, but it was more like white-noise than anything else. Not disruptive. Great campground.
We stayed here this past fall as part of a visit to Springfield, IL to visit family and drive to Iowa. We have family in Springfield, so haven't ever had a reason to "camp" there, but made this place our first spot.
It was great. The owners were super helpful, they literally showed us to our spot (even though this is a big campground) and were available for any questions or needs.
Also - this is right off I-55, so it was very easy in/out with a large 5th wheel, which is always a plus!
We stayed here in order to visit Springfield, Illinois, and we really enjoyed this spot. The sites are a good size, the campground is easily accessible from the highway, and there are nice amenities. We would definitely stay here again.
I love this place,we always come camping here. It’s got every thing here on the camp
The only thing wrong with this campground is when it rains you will be ankle deep in water. When dry though it is great. Clean spacious bathrooms/showers. The staff is very friendly!
It is really close to the highway and you will hear the traffic. We were on the row closest to the highway and they had spots in the back by the woods that were probably better. With that being said... Really nice staff. Very clean grounds and bathrooms/showers.
Called last minute on a Saturday, I had to leave a message and was hoping someone would call me back! Within five minutes, I had a call back and a lovely pull through site reserved for a one night stay on a Saturday night in May!!! The folks were extremely friendly and the sites are all pull through. Very clean and well-maintained. This was our second visit and I can’t wait to make more back to this wonderful campsite!!!
I was nervous to camp here due to the bad reveiws about the owner yelling at people and calling the police. We just got a new 40ft 5th wheel and we had never taken our previous camper to a campground. We're pretty much newbies. Check in was ok. They kept radioing the front desk worker changing the spot she was to put us in. When we got to our spot it was blocked. I had to call about 7 or 8 times to get anyone to answer to find out what to do. I was so worried the owner was going to come and get angry. Someone finally answered, the owner came over and was very friendly. We got parked and settled. It rained a lot while we were here and of course our stairs landed right in a mud puddle but it was mostly well drained and clear water on the gravel. The gravel could be a bit thicker but it was decent. The shower house was clean bit cold. Heater was set to 55. I'm sure not many use the shower house this time of year. We had a lot of dirty towel from cleaning our dogs paws so much so we wanted to wash a load of towels. It took over 3 hours to dry out towels. Eek. But so far so good.
In and out here for an overnight. No issues nice facility.
We have stayed here twice, and will stay again for sure when in the area. Fantastic camp hosts, large pull through spots, pool, mini golf, and more. Very convenient to get too and the check in is very fast.
This park is just south of Springfield, right next to the interstate. We have stayed here for two weeks. Nice walking trail, swimming pool, playground, outdoor checkers, basketball court, put put golf (closed because of covid but the pool isn’t?). Full site hookups 30/50 amp, water, sewer, cable and WiFi. Many many pros to this park. Cons- very pricey, WiFi is about the speed of dial up, for the price you should be able to do more with it.
Very clean and quiet. There is a lot of shade in the main part of the park It has a huge pool, putt-putt golf, and washer and dryers
It is a little on the pricey side, but it is close to Springfield.
Can tell they take pride in cleanliness of sites, parks, and bathroom. Nice pool.
Our daughter stays there in our camper to attend summer internship in Springfield. The camp hosts passively look out for her and have been willing to help if she should need it. Shower house is clean, camp ground is well run, they even escort you to your site so that your facing the right way and take a route that best suites your rig. Most are shaded and almost all are pull through. Full hook ups. Nice in ground pool and laundry facilities.
We only stayed for one night in our way north but we will return. Nice level site, pull.through for overnighters (thank you) lots of grass and walking areas for pets, pool, playground etc. friendly service and a welcoming place
