TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT, DON'T STAY!!

Reserved a cabin at KOA in West Yellowstone; it had been raining, the area in front of our cabin was a lake!!    Our fire pit and picnic table were completely underwater.   We went to office & they assured us they would send someone over to take a look.   They threw down some boards to walk on, but fire pit was still underwater & we would have to navigate those boards to go to the restroom in the middle of the night!

We went to the office again & asked if there was another cabin for us to move to; the manager said there was but it would be $100 upgrade!!   We asked if he would be negotiable as our cabin wasn't safe.   The manager kicked our family of 5 out, with the words.....good luck finding another place to stay in West Yellowstone this time of year!!    Luckily, we found, Hibernation Station in town - lovely place, fully furnished cabins with bathrooms.   Why anyone would stay at the crappy KOA cabins 7 miles out of town when you can stay at nicely furnish Hibernation Station cabins with bedding, private bathroom, fully equiped ktichen, walking distance to restaurants & wonderful management.    Shame on KOA for not ensuring better management.

Friendly

Staff is always friendly and helpful. Lots of activities for the kids. Lots of trees, clean, relaxing. We have been there 3 times twice as tent campers and once as RV camper. They have everything you need to enjoy camping. Kind of pricey.

Huge RV spots, large store, kept up nicely

Very close to Yellowstone park. The RV spot was huge (patio space, plus grassy area with trees which was great for the dogs!) although we paid for the premium spot. Dog park was nice for the pups. No complaints at all.

Beautiful place , great amenities

A camping ground , pretty close to west entrance of Yellowstone Park, close to the town, great amenities, little playground for kids, full stocked KOA store, yummy pizza .. amazing friendly and knowledgeable staff , free coffee at the end of the day when they are closing .. I can’t say enough. They are very well fenced , it would be great if everyone who camps put the trash in trash cans and don’t leave anything outside for the wildlife. There have been grizzly sightings near the fence looking for food. It’s normal for a wild animal to be curious so it’s humans (campers) who have to keep themselves safe by following the rules of the campgrounds and keep it safe for others.

Great place to base out of for exploring Yellowston

We have stayed at this KOA for 2 different trips exploring Yellowstone. It is far enough outside of the town of West Yellowstone that you don't feel like you are that tourist trap, but close enough to get to Yellowstone easily. Always clean bathrooms and showers. Indoor pool and Spa to help relax after a day of exploring the Park. Mini-golf course and playground is for young kids to just play. They have food at the KOA it is a bit spendy but convenient to get going in the morning to get the most out of your days at Yellowstone.

Has everything you could need, and more!

Great campground that is super close to Yellowstone. They have just about every amenity you could ask for. Pool was fun for the kids on days we didn’t go to Yellowstone. Laundry room was nice for mom to get caught up on after 20 days on the road! The workers all seemed friendly and willing to help, overall a great stay!

So many amenities!

This campground was HUGE! Great place for an extended stay, especially with family. There’s an indoor pool, mini golf, bikes to rent, a restaurant and ice cream stand. No shortage of things to do right at the KOA! Sites are a great size, more than enough room for a big tent. About 15-20 minutes from the West Yellowstone entrance so it’s a good location, plus you’re not far from town.

Typical, charming, crowded KOA

Typical, charming, yet crowded KOA. Located about 25 minute drive outside west gate of Yellowstone. Beautiful view of mountains. Well stocked store, friendly staff. Tent site was rather small, but had a large table and nice fire pit. Restrooms and showers very clean. Very crowded and a bit noisy into the night, but overall very pleasant stay.
