We camped here in a campervan and it was perfect! We arrived around 7pm and were able to find a place to park, but if you have a larger vehicle or need a spot for a tent, I’d try to arrive a bit earlier. Having the vault toilet is a nice perk for a dispersed camping site, and the views are second to none!
This campground was HUGE! Great place for an extended stay, especially with family. There’s an indoor pool, mini golf, bikes to rent, a restaurant and ice cream stand. No shortage of things to do right at the KOA! Sites are a great size, more than enough room for a big tent. About 15-20 minutes from the West Yellowstone entrance so it’s a good location, plus you’re not far from town.
Fireside was right outside the park entrance so it made it really convenient for us to come and go, and allowed us the ability to reserve in advance unlike a lot of the campsites in the park. While it’s mostly RV sites, there are quite a few tent sites as well. Bathrooms are decent. There’s a gas station, convenience store and bar at the main entrance as well which makes things easy!
