Where rough access roads wind through Beaverhead National Forest, Reservoir Lake Campground accommodates RVs up to 16 feet in this remote Idaho setting. The US Forest Service maintains basic amenities including drinking water and toilets year-round, though the challenging approach requires vehicles capable of handling uneven terrain.
Campers should prepare for primitive conditions and plan accordingly for the rough road conditions that define access to this backcountry site. The location works best for those comfortable with basic facilities and seeking camping near Beaverhead National Forest away from developed areas.
Description
2 primitive sites with picnic tables and fire rings. Campground has a vault toilet but no garbage services or drinking water. Trailhead for trail #192 from the campground through the steep terrain of the Bitterroot Range. Please pack out your trash.
