Great place

Good sites all right next to the creek. Hot springs just a short jaunt up the trail at the end of the campground. Great hosts.

Great campground

Stayed here for a few days. Friendly hosts. Clean bathrooms and great sites right by the creek. The hot spring is just a 1/4 mile walk up a path at the end of the campground. Definitely recommend this place.

Loved this campground!

We were there during off season and had the best time. Only a few others were there. We had a great site right in the river close to the toilet. It was a bit of a walk to the Hotsprings but worth it:) we had a 23 foot camper van and had no issues getting there. The road was a low maintenance road with some pot holes but no issues.

Hidden Gem!

This campground was quite the surprise! It is reservable so you’re guaranteed a spot (assuming you can get it online).

The campground itself is tucked into a valley of sorts so you are surrounded by trees everywhere. The biggest attraction here is the creek. Getting down to the creek can be a chore if you don’t have good shoes or knees as there isn’t a dedicated walking path down. However, once you are down by the creek, it is quite pleasant. The water was moving too fast to wade into but there are small pools to stick your feet in for a quick cool off.

There are vault restrooms but they aren’t glamorous or anything. Camp host was super nice too. Drove around a few times to check in on people. When we arrived, that portion of the state was in stage 1 fire restrictions and he made sure we were fully aware of the rules and what to do if we had to leave in a hurry.

There’s not much in the way of shade, at least in the drive up camping spots. The spots reserved for RV’s and trailers seemed to have more shade.

As for noise, the only real noise you hear is the birds and the creek. The campground is tucked away far enough from the highway that you don’t hear the traffic at all.

If you’re looking for a quiet weekend getaway, this is the place.

Hot springs. ‘Nuff said.

Not gonna lie, the draw here are the hot springs. An easy quarter mile hike to the springs from the campground. The hottest pools are close to the cascades, coolest are near the river, and there is a cast iron tub inside a decrepit shack if you are game. The campground is nicely separated into a tent section and an Rv section with an additional couple of walk in sites along the hot springs trail. I liked the walk in sites because they had the most privacy with some low shrubs as well as tall trees. There are plenty of trees in the main tent and Rv loops to put up hammocks. Both loops had their own vault toilet and pump water as well as dumpster.

Peaceful, clean, and scenic

I honestly didn’t want to review because I think this is such a hidden gem. But we probably can’t make it back for awhile so I want everyone else to know!

Just a lovely quiet secluded campground. We loved the sound of the water as we went to bed, and the hot springs were gorgeous (although sporadically visited by people outside the campground too). We had the first night of our stay completely to ourselves on the first night and it was eerily peaceful.

The campground host was super helpful and the vault toilet was soooo clean and stocked well with toilet paper too (a surprise for us!).

I should also add - there’s no noise from the highway because it’s set back from the road probably 1/4 mile.

Got chilly at night (low 30s) but that’s to be expected. We stayed May 31-June 2.

If you’re looking for seclusion and beauty in Idaho’s national forests, this is the site for you!

Great Stop

Awesome campground. No service and closest fuel and food stop is Stanley or Lowman.

Piece of Heaven

This is a fantastic campsite. The host is super friendly and helpful without being intrusive. It’s on a bluff over a creek and there are hot springs a mere 1/4 mi away. Epic! There were several campsites that over looked the creek (which was easy to hike down to). We had an epic sunrise hot spring experience. We were on site 22 on the RV side which was great because there was more space between sites. There a vault toilet on the tent site and a water pump. We wished we could have stayed longer. Recreation.gov listed a bunch of their sites as first come, first serve which the host informed me they are not. Either way he found us an open spot but with such a nice location I don’t know if that happens often. 10/10 would stay again

Gorgeous and relaxing

This campground feels tucked into the forest, the hotsprings are a short walk away through the trees and are super pretty and relaxing. Pretty awesome spot to spend a night or two.

Cool Spot.

We stopped here for a night on the way the Redfish. It’s a nice, small campground. The camp host was extremely helpful and friendly when I blew a fuse on the travel trailer. We took a hike to the hot springs the next morning which were very accessible and not over crowded.

excellent camping experience

Short drive off the highway but no highway noise. Found a beautiful FCFS spot the first weekend in August. You have nice white noise from the creek and there's nice shade. The outhouse and camp site was very clean, and the camp host very friendly. It's a quarter mile hike to the hot springs. There's a stocked fishing pond 6 miles down the highway.

Convenient and clean

We visited in the off-season, so camping was free, but amenities were limited. We took our tiny homebuilt teardrop camper (no hook ups). The stream was going strong and added great white noise. There were quite a few other visitors. There's a short walk to the hot springs, but they were great -- and very hot! I'd totally recommend this campground. There weren't a ton of sites, and I'd bet it gets full quickly in the summertime.

Sometimes muddy but worth it!

This is another hot spring campground. The hot spring is a short hike out, and camp sites are scattered along the way. You decide how close you want to be to your car or the hot spring. The hike out can get very muddy depending on when you go, so be cautious!

Off season

We stayed here during the off season so we had the hot spring to outselves. It was so beautiful and fun. The snow was packed down to form a trail.

Bonneville

Tucked away, a few hours outside of Boise, this site is worth the ride for the soak that it had to offer. The hot pools are located in the river, so it isn't ideal all year round. The summer months are excellent for a nice warm soak! A private bath tub soak is also available located outside of the river.
