Beautiful beach & quiet location
Super easy booking and checkin. Lots of great work done on the property and a beautiful location.

Nice park and CG. Park is under construction with improvements . Trails, paddling access. , shelters, concession, food available. CG has back in, and pull thru sites with fire rings, water, electric, pads. Good views of Grand Lagoon. Wildlife viewing is good and park has interpretive center.
Great State Park. Under a little construction can’t wait to see when completed. Beaches. Views. All hook ups. Quiet and at the end of Panama Beach away from the big tours areas.
Stayed on sit 58 right on water, full hook up, Bathrooms clean, Wi-Fi good but you have to sign in with the company providing it 7 dollars a day, great access to beaches, good fishing along beaches and jetties, plenty of places to walk and ride bikes
We camped here in 2022 and loved it! Water views, tons of trails, both walking and biking, deer cane right into our campsite a few times and we saw so many on our bike rides. Beautiful campground, well maintained! One of our favorites!
This is one of our favorite state parks! Make reservations early, they book up quick! You can make reservations 11 months in advance but we have scored a site setting up a cancellation notification.
The jetty area is perfect for young kids, it’s shallow enough for them to play and very little waves. Water is beautiful!! Be sure to bring your own chairs and umbrella, they are expensive to rent.
Campground has full hook ups, big rig friendly, laundry (bring your own quarters) and clean bath houses!
PROS
Entire site pea gravel
Moveable wooden and metal picnic table
Stainless steel pedestal BBQ grill
Metal fire pit with cooking grate
Quiet
No street lights
Bathhouse has motion activated lighting
Security gate closed at dusk and requires code to enter
CONS
No senior or veteran discount
$6.70 fee to make on-line reservations
Site 131 unlevel
Sites are pretty crammed together
Electric utility pole at each site had a light that burned all night long
Impossible to use the one washer and one dryer at each bathhouse, even at 530am! Ended up going to Front Beach Coin Laundry as it was the cleanest laundry we could find close to SP
No park WiFi

Amazing state park on the water. The campground is modern with nice clean bathrooms, laundry machines, vending machines, park store with cart rentals and other items. The spaces are close together but great. Nice level gravel pads, full hookups including sewer, and most have fire pits and picnic table.
Great campground, much to do in the park & around the park. IMO, best beaches in the USA.
Level and newish gravel sites so still LOTS of rocks no mud. Fire pits on a brick base. Newer wooden picnic tables. State park has a beach with public restrooms. There are 3 camp stores throughout the park. One at beach, one at jetty, one closer to camp. Many campsites are tight on the bay and you can see the water from most of the sites. It’s a large park. You can rent golf carts to get around. There is a large center area in the campground with a built in corn hole game and a giant checker board with a large community fire pit. There are areas along the sandy bay shoreline in the campground where you can sit on the beach. The bathhouse is ok. Certainly not terrible but it won’t wow you. It would be better if the showers had a private “dry area”. That’s the one part about the bathhouse I don’t care for. You either stand in the wet shower to dress and possibly get your clothes wet or come out naked. But if you don’t need to shower in there it’s awesome!
Brand new campground. Nice gravel sites. Some are waterfront. A little less “outdoor feeling” than other Florida state parks but very comfortable. The park itself is great with an amazing beach.
Very nice sites, well developed, well kept
Lagoon front sites available for tents, vans, or campers with hookups and water! Close to private oceanfront.
This park is beautiful. Lagoon on one side, ocean on the other. Very clean and level sites. Full hook-ups, camp store, laundry, public bathrooms. Backed up right to ocean. Couldn’t ask for much better.
Hot showers, private beach access, dispensable, security, trash cans, parking, griller.
Only stayed one night while travelling though but would definitely come back and stay longer. Some sites are right on the water and it feels like you have your own private beach.
It was chilly when we came but still beautiful and lots of stuff to do.
10/10 recommend hunts oyster bar. I’ll be dreaming of that place for years.
You'd never expect to find such a nice little state park right there in PCB! We've camped there in our tent and even when we don't camp we still visit the state park. The staff is friendly and helpful. Recent renovations to the campground are very nice. I do feel a tiny bit disappointed that the new renovations decreased the privacy of some sites but I suppose that's the price to be paid and makes sense.. There's an abundance of local wildlife to be seen, including dolphin and alligators. I just wish they had an area for us parents with fur-babies. Our big guy enjoys the water too! Overall I'd definitely recommend St Andrews!
We haven’t actually camped here but have utilized it on vacation. We’ve seen gators, swam in the jetty and just had a blast. Can’t wait to camp here on the water.
Cold during the stay but very nice sites with fire pit and view to stare at for hours
We loved this campground. Clean and peaceful and beautiful walking trails and easy access to the beach. Beautiful sunsets on the beach. There are also some stores on the beach with souvenirs and we saw what looked like paddle board rentals.
With taxes and fees the site came to about $42 for FHU. Good cell service.
The campground is larger than we thought it would be, and we were happy we had a site at the end of the loop because the central area was really packed and crowded.
Great free hot showers, laundry machines (2 sets, 1 at each bath house).
Deer walking around the campground and we saw dolphins in the bay.
Traveling though the country and decided to stay here for two or three days. Everything was nice and clean and the service was better then I was expecting. If your just traveling, or just looking for a nice clean spot to camp, this is your place !!
We stayed here twice last year, great spot with electric hook ups, water , dump station close, camp on inland water way and short trip to beach on south side walk, or bike, has store, boat launch, bike and water sport rental, and only $25 a night!
Spots a little dated and tight but the location makes up for that. Great park
Me and my husband tented here for 4 days and it was perfect! The tent sight we stayed in was 58 and 41. They both were open, spacious sights both with water and power.
Sight 60 seemed to be the best tent sight because there is some extra brush around the tent spot where you can pitch the tent. Feels a little bit more private.
No lights (like street lights) so it was nice, although there are lights across the lagoon so it’s not like pitch black. But you can still see plenty of stars on a clear night.
The bathhouses were kept very clean and they had hot water which was nice to shower in on a cold morning! There are electrical outlets in the bathroom for hairdryers and such. Also very handicapped/wheelchair/walker accessible. They have showers and bathrooms, and ramps for those specific needs.
There is a small drive to the beach from the campground sight but you can have access to the beach at all hours of the day and night free. We went late close to midnight and it was beautiful and eery at the same time! I would highly recommend!
We saw no gators, but we did see some cool things at the beach! Jellyfish, stingrays (a couple), dolphins, pufferfish, hermit crabs (they are literally everywhere! Check your shells to make sure you have no visitors coming home with you!) and we also saw so many regular crabs! We found some beautiful shells!
I’m sure that if you are adventurous and go out further out you will see many more creatures and shells, I just stayed close to shore.
Many many sandbars! It was pretty to Wade out to them and be sitting on the sand in the middle of the ocean!
Definitely an underrated campground and beach!
Oh also, because you stay there, the beach is kept nicer and not as many people come there. After a certain time it’s just the campers that are on the beach and it’s so peaceful! You feel like you have the whole beach to yourself.
We went at the beginning of May and it was cool in the evenings and warm during the day. It did sprinkle and was overcast but that was perfect! Not much of a sunburn and the cool made the beach more enjoyable so we didn’t feel like we were dying of heat exhaustion! Lol
I would recommend this beach to everyone I know and I will continue to go there every year as much as possible!
The staff was super helpful and nice too! They are kind and gentle. Really feel at home here!
There is a store on sight that has basic needs, we never went there so I can’t tell you anything else about it but they do have it. Firewood is also sold here, and is a very fire friendly place.
The roads are bumpy in the park with lots of pot holes, so just go the speed limit and watch out and you should be fine. Everyone in a big rig and pull behind, 5th wheels and just regular cars did fine on the roads. Just wanted to put that out there.
I have camped here several times. You have to reserve months ahead of time to get a reservation because it is such a great place to be. The campground is in the lagoon side, and many sites have access to a little shoreline along the lagoon. The rest of the state park has good fishing and swimming at the beach. Outside of the park there are restaurants and so much more.
Very nice campground nestled among palm trees, palmento palms and pines. This is a five star State Park bordering the pass to the bay and the Gulf of Mexico. Good fishing in the pass and Gulf. Activativaties include fishing, swimming and paddle boarding or just lying in the sun.
Newly renovated following Hurricane Michael, the camp boasts great shower and laundry facilities, electrical hookups, back in and pull through sites among the quiet of the beach dunes and palmetto swamp... a great natural area minutes from Panama City/Panama City Beach. There’s great opportunities for beachcombing, snorkeling and diving, particularly on the south end of the park on Shell Island, which is accessible by water taxi shuttle during the season. Recent viewing includes the lower mount and traverse rings of gun turrets constructed 1942-43, when the 166th infantry regiment was stationed here to guard Gulf shipping from German U-Boats following the sinking of the Empire Mica.
Great location great staff on water sites wonderful park
We had a quick drive through the main park to check it out. The beach access was great from a couple of areas. The snorkeling can be great depending on how recently a storm has passed through. We rented a boat and spent a few hours on Shell Island. Because it is difficult to access there are very few people out on the beech. If you want a spot that is a little quieter than the main park beech access then head over here.
