This is one of the most beautiful campgrounds we have ever stayed at.  It maintains the relaxed feel of Key West with excellent facilities, a friendly staff, all located in a lush tropical environment.

It is located on the water with its own boat launch and dock.  It is also conveniently located to the heart of all the activities that Key West has to offer.

We stayed here in a Class A motor home.

Loved the view

One of the prettiest campsites since it is right on Key West water. A few of us stayed at Boyd’s a few years back for my birthday. Being in February and our site being directly on the water made it difficult to set up our tent due to high winds, however, it didn’t stop us from making a fire and watching the boats come and go and inviting the array of wildlife to hang out.

Beautiful!

This campground is great because of its location. Sites are very small, you will be within three feet of your neighbor. Small fences provide some privacy, while sites in the mangrove area provide the most space.

This is a park filled mostly with seasonal RV goers, however, we staid in a primitive tent site. The facilities were all clean, and the staff was very friendly. We went down in March, after Hurricane Irma, and all services were completely restored.

Friendly Private Campground 

Campground is nothing too special, but it is great to live right on the water for a few days and the spot provides a nice headquarters from which to explore the rest of KW. Sites are right on the water, and manatees and iguanas regularly cruise through. Best beaches we found weren't super close, but we were still stoked to have a nice home base. Hemingway house was really interesting and stand up paddle trip out to some reefs was the absolute highlight. We'd love to get back and explore the area much more with the stand up paddle guides, Cody and Ryan, who were totally awesome.

fine way to do KW 

Great family campground, stayed there for 5 nights over Easter. We had a primitive waterfront tent site and it was the most expensive site we’ve ever had ($90/night!) But the views were lovely and the staff kept the restrooms clean even with the campground getting super full on the weekend. We were pleasantly surprised to find wifi at our site and an outdoor pool. It’s an extremely windy area, so no mosquitoes or bugs. The ground is a salty packed sand/ gravel mixture which corroded our metal tent stakes when we had a rainstorm.  There is no shade, so I’d recommend a dining tent, if you can fit it on your site. The campground is small and you’ll probably hear your neighbours- these are not big sites!
From Monday to Saturday the nearby airforce base runs drills with fighter jets all day... it’s cool but not if you have young kids sensitive to noise, our 9 mo. old screamed and screamed when they flew by (and this happened constantly. All day. Ugh!)

Super close to Key West

Boyd’s is located on Stock Island which is just 5 miles from Duval Street in Key West. I really enjoy the water front campsites that are offered at Boyds. This campsite also has a pool.

Always a fun stay

I loved this camp. 
Clean bathrooms .. loot of RV .. tent sites are by water and few by RV. Small sites so make sure u dont have 8 and more ppl tent. Close by is Air Force Base so u can watch and specially heard their training fly overs. 
U are quick from this camp in downtown Key West by The 0 mile sign and in middle of everything.  

U must love Top Gun 

If you have a beach front site ($71 a night) then you will have a great view. However, the rest of the park leaves you wanting. Its clean and has decent showers and a nice size pool but all of the sites are tiny and give you zero room or privacy. The staff is super friendly in their over priced shop and will try to help you take the bus downtown and advise you not to drive eventhough you are not far from downtown. I highly recommend trying to get a spot in the Parks before here. 

Expensive with a great view of your neighbors

We had the best tent site on the property!  Spring break was a perfect time to camp as it wasn’t hot.  Wish it wasn’t so far away.

We managed to get a last minute spot on over the new year. Our site was by the dumpsters and smack in the middle of the peninsula ie not on the water. That said- it was amazing! Not super clean site. The dumpster was not only a none issue, we didn’t see a single fly. The facilities were clean. The pool (once the old ladies water aerobics ended🙄) was fun for the kids. We walked to an awesome bar/ restaurant called hog fish. The staff was friendly as well. I never write reviews but this camp ground gets a thumbs up from me.

Great Place 

We have been to Boyd’s for the past 5 years in November. 
So close to all the action, we request the sane sight facing the Ocean. 
Some sights are the gut, but it’s the closest campground to downtown. 
The store is well stocked, close to local restaurants. The staff it great. The pool is refreshing. Roosters, Iguanas, palm trees and incredible memories.

The park really has it all, with excellent service's. Well situated for sightseeing and tours. Enjoyed the stay and visiting local pizza and party bars.

Fantastic Park

This is a great campground just off Key West on Stock Island.  The surrounding area is a bit run down but once you’re inside the campground who cares 🤣.  Key West is expensive place to stay but you can stay here for a quarter of the price!  They have large spaces, lush landscaping and a boat dock!

You just can’t beat the location of this campground to Key West! But beyond that you are located on the water between the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico. You can even enjoy a site on the water with a dock and all guests can use the on-site boat ramp! The lush grounds are beautifully maintained and the nice size pool is beautiful. It’s a very peaceful setting and just a few miles from Duval Street. The small store has basic needs and you can even eat at the on-site food truck. I highly recommend Boyd’s when you plan a trip to the Florida Keys. 

Location Location Location!

We came down last minute to enjoy Thanksgiving and had such an amazing time.  Our location was right next to the pool but they have these amazing water front options as well (book in advance).   I can attest to this, they clean and hose down the entire pool everyday, so clean and nice.  but the best part is how nice the staff and ground crew are.  I can't tell you how much that changes the mood around the entire place.  can't say enough about it and we're 100% coming back!

Best campground!

I try to be a positive person however this campground, like all campgrounds in the keys, RVs are packed in like sardines and the prices are expensive! If you come her make sure you bring everything you need because the prices in the store here are outrageous! The staff is very friendly and helpful. One thing I've never seen anywhere but here is the sewer has no way to attach or strap down your sewer hose to their septic, the pipe going in the ground is not threaded. I thought that was very strange. I had to buy a longer sewer hose which is not their fault but they only sell a hose with no ends on it so you have to also buy the ends and build your own sewer hose. Safe travels everyone.

Boyd’s Campground, Key West, FL
Campsites are tight—and I mean tight, Tent and RV alike.  The interior tent sites are tiny.  A 3 person tent is about all that will fit as you must also park your car there as well.  The tent sites with power are a little larger.  The primitive tent sites on the water are of varying size and tend toward pie shape which limits configuration of tents as your vehicle must head into the site at the narrowest point.  If you have a small tent, the views are lovely.  Small RVs and vans can also use these sites.  The more parallel waterfront tent sites are closer to the RV sites and preferred if you have a larger tent (we have a Big Agnes bunkhouse 6–9x10 without the vestibules.  We were originally assigned 18T and could not put up our tent and park our Jeep and still get out of our tent!  We were then assigned 28T which was better but no way the 20x25 foot site we were told.  There are also tent sites with power over in the RV village with “beachfront”—note that while you could walk into the water, it’s not really suitable.  These sites did appear to be much deeper and would allow a larger tent and a 10x10 shade shelter.  Each site has a charcoal grill of varying degrees of decline- some had new, ours was seriously rusted out and difficult to use.  The newer ones allow you to turn them adjusting to wind direction.  Ours was fixed.  They said they are gradually changing them out.  Also a 6’ picnic table—nice configuration because you do not have to step over the seat to sit down.  The surface is hard packed coral “sand”.  Be sure to bring your tent brush as this stuff blows in.  And the waterfront sites are windy!  The wind direction changes frequently.  Putting up a tent and taking it down can be a challenge.  Our site faced the naval air station so when wind came from the east, we heard national anthem and taps across the water.  The waterfront tent sites are probably the best locations in Boyd’s—on the point.  You almost feel like you are camping at the beach as the water is literally right there at your feet.  There are some RV waterfront sites as well which are nice.

The bathrooms are well maintained and clean, the showers hot and the dishwashing sinks very nice.  There are ramps up so no worries if cannot do steps.    The laundry is big and clean.  $2 for wash, $2 dry.  The office sells ice ($3.50 for 10 pounds versus Publix at $3.29) and large firewood bundles (we didn’t use).  The campstore/registration office carries some basic food and camping supplies, has hot coffee and frozen entrees—there is a microwave there if you need to use it.  Bike and 50cc scooter rentals in front of the office.

Consistently helpful and cheerful Staff are constantly around so felt very secure.  Sites are raked between occupancy.  Most campers were respectful and quiet.  Most also masked while in the laundry and shop.



Great location and very nice tent camp experience 

We enjoyed our 2 nights at Boyd’s. We stayed in a tent site on the water  with our camper van. If we had chosen a tent site on the water with elec/water then it would have been a bit bigger...but still tight. If you park just right and place your tent just so then you can get more privacy but not much more. The bathhouses were nice and it was great to have laundry and a cute town nearby. The ‘One Love’ Food Truck about .5 miles away made the whole experience super great. Best Food Truck ever! There is a local gym walking distance away too. Lots to do and a short drive to Key West. The price was a bit high for the squeezed in spaces but worth it to us for the location and amenities. 

Tight but on the water

If we had to rate the campground itself, we would give it three stars max. The sites are very small and the whole place has a dirty beach vibe. But it’s located on a very pretty bay where you can watch boats as well as fighter jets from the naval air station. It’s 15 minutes from the heart of key west. There is a Cuban food truck in the park and I highly recommend the con leche! There is a well-stocked store as well. Watch for falling iguanas! They sun themselves in the trees.

Proximity is key

Pretty big place, very professional staff and friendly. Bit expensive but, it's worth the money. It is the southern campground on the Key !

Very confi 

My husband and I had a wonderful time camping at Boyd’s. We tent camped and the site they have are kinda tight because the grounds are right on the water. The staff was more than happy to accommodate for the size of our tent and gave us a very comfortable site. Shower houses and restrooms were always clean no matter what time of day, the showers were hot, and we never had a problem having one available. Great experience!

We always love going to KW and staying here is a great way to do it! It was hard setting the tent up due to the wind, but we managed. I think it’s the most I’ve ever paid to camp, but location location location !!

Beautiful views

This is our 3rd year at Boyd’s and we love it just as much (or more) than our first.  The people who camp here are so nice, we see the same friends every year and meet new ones!  The staff is very friendly and helpful. Their pool is great and heated with fun night swims.  Their bathrooms are usually not very busy since there are so many RVs - with a popup it’s nice to have empty bathrooms.  Boyd’s close proximity to Key West is also awesome since you can rent a golf cart or scooter to get into town to do all the fun things!  
Personally - I didn’t like this years site since it’s right in front of the entrance with lots of traffic but it was still good!

Year after Year - never disappoints 

We was parked with the back end over the water. Very beautiful to wake up look out and all you see is water and boats.

Stayed two days would go back

The sites are roomy.  A place to grill on site. Room for parking car/truck. Clean campgrounds. Nice pool area.

Waterfront 

Boyd’s campground is in an awesome location with close proximity to Key West favorites like Hogfish Bar and the Absinthe House. When they say water view, they mean it! The sites pull up right to the edge of the water where you can dip your toes in and enjoy an epic sunrise. The airplanes are a little loud and wifi is spotty on the island but that’s just a little character for Key West. 10/10 recommend!!

Perfect Location, Unbeatable Views

Great facilities and staff.  The campground was well maintained and had dish washing spaces, clean toilets and showers, boat launches, and beaches.

Highly recommend and just a few minutes from Duval Street (by scooter which is a blast)

Island Life 

So much to do.  The staff instantly delivers customer service the moment you drive in.   They drop your boat in water for you and show you to your spot and help you get hooked up.   All the staff was so kind and friendly.   The pool was amazing!!   It has a chiller on it which is a must in south Florida in the summer.  So nice and cool it was easy to hang out in it all day.  It was easy to get an Uber ride to Key West and the bus stopped real close.   The site was big and plenty of room.    The entire place was pet friendly.   The only “negative” was the sandy mud.  Make sure you have a large outside mat so you don’t track the mud in and you are good.

I rolled into Key West without any clear idea of where I was going to stay. Boyd's was the first place I came across, and I felt no need to look any further. I was initially concerned about crowding here, but Boyd's had multiple waterfront tent sites available on a weeknight in August. I got my pick, and it came with shade trees, a picnic table, and iguanas. Incredible.

This campground's top selling point is its location. If it were anywhere else, I might have grumbled about the price, or the tightness of the campsite, or the proximity to neighbors (they are mere feet away). But, you're in Key West, literally right on the water, and close enough to downtown that you can get there by bicycle (or, in my case, kick scooter). This felt like an amazing bargain, especially when you factor in the excellent bathrooms and the large, clean, temperature-controlled swimming pool. There is also a camp store and a laundry room. Every amenity you could ask for, basically. There was even fast WiFi coverage throughout the whole campground, a first in my experience.

If I ever journey back to the southernmost point in the continental US, I would stay at Boyd's again in a heartbeat. This campground ticks all the boxes.

Deluxe island camping 

Great customer service, clean grounds and facilities. Easy in/out with trailer. Only problem is not having enough time here! 

Perfect spot! 

We stayed there for 3 days. Everything you need is almost provided there but service is lacking a lot. Today in the morning as September 2nd, we called the office for a refund as they said they would be happy to help before but it has been 7 weeks and they are not helping at all. They hang up phones on you, very afraid to tell you their names as they know that they are charged for something bad. There are other RV campgrounds in Key West where you can get great service from! The only reason they are on top of google search because they are paying google ads, which shows on the little corner, so do not fool for it.

SERVICE IS LACKING

Have been to Boyd’s a couple of times in the not  so distant past and have reservations again in November. Both times stayed ocean side which is really on the water on the back bay. Sites are on the smallish side but when Boyd’s opened it was in the early 60’s when campers were small and the lots were large.  Don’t let that scare you off, they make it work. Pool and deck area are well maintained and relaxing. Plenty of tropical trees and plants and warm breeze to remind you this really is paradise. Laundry facilities clean, change machine, on wall, books to thumb through as you wait. Shower houses are ample, water is hot, doors lock. Dumpsters throughout the park. Tent area for rustic camping. Dish washing area should you need it. Boat docks, launch and fish cleaning station. Pet friendly. (Hey, kids, Boyd’s gives away iguanas free of charge to anyone who can catch them. Don’t tell Mom or Dad. Let it be a surprise for when you get home.)  Boyd’s is actually on Stork Island which is a stones throw to Key West. Easy and fast check in, friendly staff.

High Standard

This is really a very nice campground for all size of camping rigs or tents with a boat ramp and boat slips.  On Stock Island where the local University, Hospital, Golf Club and  the Police Department, as well as commercial fishing, marinas and restaurants are located.  Key West is a short bike or bus ride away.  The campground has great facilities for swimming, sunning, wine parties, potlucks, etc.

  

On our recent visit the family which owns and runs the park provided a buffet dinner at the pool for all campers to celebrate their 60th year in business.

  

Many of the campers have been coming for years.  

  

The only drawback is that it is hard to get into and expensive.  But Key West always provides great weather!

Location, loacation, location!

So I will say the staff are nice and the grounds are clean. Bathrooms very clean also. Tent sites though are right on top of each other and are small.
If you all have trucks good luck putting them somewhere. I am so close to my neighbor right now I can hear the conversation on his phone!!!! That he has been on for an hour after quiet time. Also if you are close to the bathroom in the tents then you hear everything from that. People washing dishes after hours and the bright lights shining into your tent. Very hard to get a good nights sleep. 

Rude neighbors/ small space 

Sites are tight but staff assists with backing in. Great staff. Store. Nice laundry. Bathrooms are clean and well maintained. Att and Verizon are good. Did not try wifi. Food truck 7 days per week. Beautiful 

Fantastic

Super friendly staff, always answer the phone, are available 24/7 and are so polite. Great little store with a perfect mix of souvenirs, snacks and RV equipment. Pool, onsite food truck, nearby restaurant, easy Uber/lyft to key west or golf cart rental, nice bathrooms, great tiki hang out and game room. On top of it all We weathered a tropical storm here - wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. 

What’s not to love - our kind of vibe

Helpful/friendly staff.   Very clean and well kept campground.   We'll be back and recommend to others.
