Beautiful Spot, Close to Nothing

Great natural beauty nestled in a valley with plenty of aspen trees. The only downside is it is far from everything (except the small village of RedStone).

Campsites have plenty of room between and ours were very private. Full shower and flushed toilet bathrooms that were very nice for a state park. Beautiful setting as its long river and the valley with towering rock peaks on either side.

Would rate As a five star, except it was from everything we wanted to do. No Verizon reception, had to use Starlink.

Scenic escape

Great camp with large and secluded spaces. Friendly camp host, clean bathrooms, and well kept grounds.

Beautiful setting and easy to get to

This is the 2nd time that my husband and I have stayed at Redstone Campground. It's beautiful to look at the red stoned mountains and the night sky filled with stars while being fairly close to other things. The camp hosts have been super friendly and helpful both times, and Don and John even told us of some things to do close by that we didn't know about! The bathrooms are extremely clean and when the showers are open, they are the same. We will keep going back! The only reason for the 4 stars is that you can still hear the cars on the road.

Campsite 34/35 is a shared site (so during COVID you get the whole thing to yourself).

Beautiful Spot

Great base camp to explore Glenwood Springs and Aspen areas. Or, just relax and enjoy the scenery. The campground is one mile from the charming town of Redstone. Redstone Inn has a restaurant with great food, and there are picnic tables outside the restaurant if you want to bring your dog. I stayed in the loop with water and electric hookup, but there are two other loops with dry camping. The views are amazing.

Great basecamp to explore the area

Great campground. Two main loops, one with hook ups and one without. Each loop has a host and they do a good job of keeping the campgrou nd cleaned and reservations honored. The cute town of Redstone is just a couple miles down the road. Nice walk from campground. Marble is about 30min and they have the best BBQ place - Slow Groovin. Check it out. There are also great challenging hikes. Next time may rent an ATV
