Clean and safe but basic

Basic sites at expensive prices. It was clean and safe. There was a dog run. They had bushes which were overdue trimming between sites. We couldn’t open our awning due to the low limbs. Our site was FULL of ant mounds of three varieties.

Misleading name but a nice stay

This is not Glenwood Springs. It is located in Silt which is several towns away. That being said, it was a clean KOA with sites right on the Colorado River.

Waste of time

Small sites with views of cars. Don’t stay here.

Wow!! Waking up to the views in all directions!

Sunrise was amazing. Sunset was even better. The location was excellent. The views and sounds were outstanding. The bathhouse was simple but clean. The camp hosts were friendly.

So Many Sites

There were numerous sites. Ours was located right on the water. Large predator birds were fishing right outside our tent. There was water on a near by site. There is not electric or sewer hookups. I can’t wait to go back.

Right on the river

Wow!! we were right on the Crystal River. Every site had ample trees and shade. The stars were beautiful. The location was convenient to 4x4 and hiking trails.

Views and Bears

The elevatIon is hIgh enough to keep the temperatures down. The sites are tight. There is one set of porta-pots. The views of Ouray are amazing. We saw lots of wildlife. Bears tore up our camp even though we had our food locked up.

Camp Doris is rustic

There are 20 rustic sites where campers carry all of their gear in to their site. These sites have a fire ring ans picnic table. Porta pots are near by. There are many sites where you can park and camp. The sites with electric hookups have a clean bathhouse. All of the water is under a boil order. Lakes, hiking trails, and wildlife are near by. there is not cell phone service.

Cold Springs has what you need

The sites are large and many of them have large shade trees. There are clean restrooms stretched throughout the camp ground. Water faucets are spaced near by. Alcohol is not allowed. There are not hook ups or showers. Campers can travel to a nearby campground for a hot shower. Hiking trails and swimming spots are nearby. The skies were full of stars and it was pleasant hearing water rush over the falls while going to sleep.
