Ouray is unreasonably beautiful and 4J has the right spot: great views and 2 blocks to walk into town. The managers were very nice and the bathrooms, showers and laundry were impeccably clean. Even though our row was immediately against a town dirt road, every car drove as slowly as cars inside the park and there was no traffic at night.
The RVs are squeezed in tightly but it never felt that way.
This was our favorite RV park to date.
If you're the kind of person who thinks camping is bringing your entire house with you to the mountains then this is you place. the location is perfect if you want to be off the main street in Ouray. People at check in are very nice but the sites are way too close together. All you hear are loud trucks on the gravel road all night. WiFi is a joke but ATT signal worked. The huge fifth wheel crowd and diesel pushers love it here. We usually boondock to get away from people but decided to give it a try, more so as a Basecamp for the surrounding area. If you think people suck and that's why you like to camp then don't come here. Very clean bathrooms and showers though.
Nice clean bathrooms! Quiet. Sites are VERY close. Gravel - so probably better suited for RVing. Nice staff.Pricey for no water or electric site. Our site had power guy wire through it. Don’t get site 12. Definitely not the outdoor camping experience. Paid $45.
Friendly people and great location. Walking distance to everything in town. Reasonable price. They don't do discounts so Good Sam's etc is not needed. Wifi is not good but cell signal is good.
Very pleasant experience. Has full hook up available. Cold and snowy when we arrived. Our campsite backed up to the river. Can walk to town. The facilities are very clean and well maintained. Staff is friendly. Would stay here again.
I am new to RV camping but this Park seems to provide all one could ask.
Spaces are tight but that's to be expected. Great staff, they called me to make sure I was still coming. Bathrooms are clean and code protected. There is a road that goes through the grounds and it says 14 mph but some people go faster, watch your kids and animals. I would stay here again if I needed to.
This park has all you need and is close to everything in Ouray. Bathrooms, shower and laundry. Hook ups for camper and tent spots. I run a rooftop tent and had plenty of space even with close together sites.
We stay here every time we visit Ouray. Town and the pool are within walking distance, showers are great and there are coin operated laundry facilities. Ice and propane available.
Things are pretty nice. Spots are a bit cramped but absolutely gorgeous with the river running right behind. Bathrooms are huge and clean. Everything is gravel so if that ain’t your thing, look elsewhere. The only things I dislike are that there isn’t a camp store but you’re right in the middle of town and we just have a charcoal grill stand but no fire ring.
$28 for a tent site. Showers bathrooms and people. If you don't have a 4x4 this is the place to stay. So many trails so close like 4miles max.
This little place is on the outskirts of Ouray, tucked into the base of the mountain (perimeter trail actually has an access point at the park). Offers clean bathrooms, free showers, playground, and beautiful creek side camping. The views are spectacular and the people are great.
This campground is a great place to stay if you want to be walking distance to everything in Ouray. Once settled in we didn’t use the truck to travel anywhere for three days. The CG is on the Ouray rim trail which was a nice hike.
Located directly beneath cliffs, the CG is in the shadows early which was nice in cooling our trailer from temps near 90.
Sites are very close together but this is expected at a property like this in the middle of town.
We stayed here several times when we were planning our wedding in Ouray. It is right in town, there are RV hookups and tent only sites (which we stayed at). Showers and bathrooms are clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Location is right in town, so walking distance to everything and if you need to wash clothes, there were machines very close by.
Sites are relatively close together so not a ton of privacy, but the tent sites have a bit more trees and back into the mountain range.
This park is within walking distance of Ouray’s most popular sight seeing. It’s only a few blocks from breweries, restaurants, and just down the road from the town hot springs!
The staff is helpful and friendly and are available on site to check in or answer any questions about the town.
Sites are clean and well maintained. The bathrooms are very roomy, and they have plenty of hot showers.
Can’t recommend this place enough! We always stop in whenever we are in Colorado.
