Bring your earplugs

If you're the kind of person who thinks camping is bringing your entire house with you to the mountains then this is you place. the location is perfect if you want to be off the main street in Ouray. People at check in are very nice but the sites are way too close together. All you hear are loud trucks on the gravel road all night. WiFi is a joke but ATT signal worked. The huge fifth wheel crowd and diesel pushers love it here. We usually boondock to get away from people but decided to give it a try, more so as a Basecamp for the surrounding area. If you think people suck and that's why you like to camp then don't come here. Very clean bathrooms and showers though.

If you love "camping" with a thousand obnoxious strangers, come here

Thank God we were only here for 1 night just passing through. There are way too many people jam packed in this beautiful forest. Avoid this place at all costs in the summer.

Great campsite!

Recently stayed at the Tolby site at cimarron state park and we had a great time. Mike, our camp host was awesome and had some great information about the area. Clear creek hiking trail is a short drive away and was a beautiful and totally doable 3 mile trail for our 3 young girls. The fishing in the area was very popular and it seemed like everyone was catching fish. We will definitely come back!
