Best camping spot in the area.
Stayed here in a cabin for 2 yrs because of work in area. Quiet, clean and away from the city. Love this place.

Great spot super close to dunes about a mile to the ocean
There are two levels of this campground, I stayed at the upper level just steps from the sand dunes which will lead you to the Pacific Ocean about 1/2 mile away. Many folks leave their shoes at the edge of the campground so they those shoes don’t fill full of sand.
You’re packed in fairly tightly in this campground, and it can get a bit noisy with loud trucks and motorcycles, but it wasn’t constant nor overwhelming.
The roads inside the park a paved, but the sites are gravel which will invariably end up inside your RV. My site #171 was a pull-through and was completely level, a definite plus.
The camp store has a very limited amount of items.
Easy check-in experience. You can walk off the property and directly into the sand dunes. Multiple bathroom and dumpster locations. Clean and warm showers available during the day.
Nice location, clean, with good internet access.
No OHV activity nearby, Pacific Dunes Resort is a somewhat secluded RV park. Close spaces, picnic tables, but must bring your own fire pit. No grass, but hard packed sand and gravel. Upper area closer to the dunes is preferred for breezes. Lots of permanent residents, but the park is well kept. My only complaint is about sporadic restroom cleaning during Covid-19. Not as often as scheduled and we were camped across, so could visibly observe. The dunes were beautiful, but walking to the beach would be quite an effort. Without the OHV activity, it was safe to hike or dune surf. Horseback riding, basketball court, and remote controlled car track were other amenities. Bike ride to the Oceano Dunes Natural Preserve beach was only 10-15 minutes. Many good restaurants near the park, Sylvesters, Old Juan’s, and Rock & Roll Diner. Old West Cinnamon Rolls and Splash in Pismo Beach are a must.
Nice sites, all on sand/hard pack. Lots of permanent campers or long term folks. They had horseback riding and a small playground. We came in late and it was hard to find our map and site reservations.
No one ever answered the phone whenever we tried to call, days prior, day of, etc. that was disappointing.
Our site was night to the dunes so easy walk to the sand, but about 30 minute hard walk to the ocean, it was worth it.
Wonderful resort with great views. Great staff, great long term campers, great amenities! Will definitely go back for another visit!
If you own a rear living trailer this is the place to be, we wake up to the beautiful dunes of the central coast. It’s perfect to watch the sunset from hear. The temperature is perfect always around mid to high 60’s.
Right next to some beautiful dunes. Rv / pull in sites. Have tables restrooms and fire pit relatively close to Oceano/ piano
The staff is friendly and horse rides in the beach are available! the dunes are a great backdrop to this place and it’s a little further from the railroad tracks than most other places to stay in the pismo area. one downside is there is no grass and very tight space between RVs. we had great neighbors so no problems!
