We did not know it was hunting season... so it was surprising to see so many hunters gathered up at selby campground. We decided to stay at klc instead which was much more peaceful. Temperatures were well in the high 90s so to see some nice trees that provided shade at this site was the best. It was a pleasure to share the site with an owl that kept hooting all night. We visited some awesome sites and abandoned ranches. Definitely a great spot to stay at in Carrizo plain.
