Sites 1-9 are beach front and separated by thick foliage for a tad bit of privacy. The other sites are just steps away from the beach and shaded by trees. I would consider this camp ground dog friendly as both times I've come here most people have dogs with them. Be prepared for chilly winds... Even if the forecast looks nice take layers! There are multiple trails all along the Pacific coast hwy as well as scenic overlooks that can keep you busy all day. The water is not suitable for swimming in along most of this shoreline due to dangerous rip currents and sleeper waves and there are many signs that will tell you so.
